Solange Knowles Heats Up Miami Beach While Sister Beyoncé Plays Spy In L.A.

It was an eventful weekend for the Knowles siblings, with Solange Knowles and Beyoncé having a great time with their respective partners.

The duo is one of the most famous siblings in the entertainment industry, with Solange rising to fame alongside her big sister during her days as a member of the group, Destiny's Child.

While Beyoncé stole the spotlight as a member of the girl group, Solange Knowles gained fame for her temporary stints as a backup dancer for the group. She has since forged a name for herself in the music industry as a singer.

Solange enjoyed her weekend at a beach in Miami, soaking up the sun in a string bikini set. The tiny number flaunted her toned physique, giving onlookers plenty to admire from her abs to her flawless caramel skin.

While she got bronzed under the sun, her boyfriend, Gio Escobar, did not seem eager for a tan. The Standing on the Corner frontman rocked a black short-sleeved top with maroon shorts while his luscious curly hair flowed naturally.

The pictures of the couple's beach date, obtained by TMZ, captured Escobar lying on a lounge chair while reading a book. Other shots captured him taking pictures of Solange, who posed seductively on a lounge chair while sipping on a pineapple.

While Solange enjoyed a public date with her beau, her older sister unleashed her inner spy for Kris Jenner's 007-themed birthday. Beyoncé and Jay-Z attended the reality TV star's 70th birthday bash alongside a slew of famous figures; however, they dodged the paparazzi.

The power couple took incognito very seriously as they managed to pull up to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's Beverly Hills mansion for the celebrations without attracting the attention of shutterbugs. Sources told the outlet that they were able to do so because they received prime parking privileges.

On the other hand, Beyoncé's mother, TIna Knowles, did not mind getting photographed and posed for a few pictures in her dazzling red dress. Other stars in attendance were Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Oprah Winfrey, Hailey Bieber, and more.

It is unclear when Solange began her relationship with Escobar; however, their paths reportedly crossed in September 2018. At the time, the singer was the final guest on the last episode of the Red Bull Radio show, "Stay Inside."

Escobar was a co-host on the program with Earl Sweatshirt from 2017 to 2018 and became professionally linked to Solange in 2019. He and his band, Standing on the Corner, were credited for writing and producing several tracks on the singer's "When I Get Home" album.

That same year, Escobar and Solange caused a stir in October when a fan spotted them getting affectionate in public. Nicki Swift reported that the video sparked speculations about Solange's relationship status because she was still legally married to her second husband, Alan Ferguson, at the time.

The fan-shot video caused a stir among fans, with some wondering if Solange was cheating on her then-husband. The speculations forced the singer to break her silence, and she announced her separation from Ferguson in an emotional social media post.

In the since-deleted Instagram post, Solange revealed that she and Ferguson had separated after five years of marriage. She implied their marital troubles two years ago, noting her body left her "no choice but to listen and be still."

"Within that stillness, I begin my journey in confronting my worst enemy, fear," Solange continued. She explained that she always tried to live her truth and was fiercely protective of her privacy and the memories she shared with Ferguson. Nonetheless, they had separated months earlier in 2019.

Besides overcoming two divorces, Solange also faced hidden health battles. The Blast reported that she revealed her struggles in October 2024 after Shaun Ross reflected on his Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) diagnosis.

Solange revealed in the comment section of Ross' post that she could relate to his health battle because she faced a similar situation. "I got diagnosed with POTS, Sjogren's, and Mcas in 2018 and really relate to not wanting your health to be your identity," she wrote.

The singer added that she would have faced a much more challenging time navigating life with her multiple conditions without the resources provided by Dysautonomia International. She credited the non-profit organization as instrumental in her health journey.
