GloRilla Turns Heads In SHEIN Drop, Sparks 'Destiny Swapping’ Claims

GloRilla is in her glow-up era, and not everyone is handling it well. The Memphis rapper, known for her tomboy energy, has evolved into a more polished, high-fashion, and hyper-feminine version of herself.
The “Wanna Be” rapper has even undergone a few cosmetic tweaks, and her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion helped spotlight her more sultry side. But now, fans claim there’s a destiny swap in GloRilla’s transformation, and they’re saying it right under her new SHEIN campaign post.
GloRilla Drops ‘Fire & Ice’ Collection With SHEIN

On October 20, GloRilla announced her “Fire & Ice” collaboration with SHEIN via an eye-catching Instagram reel.
A week later, she shared stills from the “Ice” side of the collection. In the first slide, she modeled a white backless halter-neck mini dress with knee-high strappy heels. The second slide featured a brown fur two-piece with graffiti pointed-toe thigh-high boots.
The third slide showed GloRilla in another backless mini dress, highlighting her curves. Finally, she sat on an ice throne, wearing a white bikini top with a sequined skirt, while a fur coat fell off her shoulders.
Each shot glowed against a cool blue backdrop, perfectly fitting the “Ice” theme. The rapper will likely drop another carousel for the “Fire” part of the collection.
Fans Allege ‘Destiny Swapping’

Over 356,000 fans liked the post, while 3,000+ left comments ranging from admiration to accusation.
“Pretty,” a fan commented. “So beautiful,” another added. A third fan called GloRilla “Tina Snow mini me,” referencing Megan Thee Stallion’s alter ego.
Others took it further, claiming a “destiny swapping.” They added, “We liked the original Glo, not the one copying Meg. Please stay original.”
Destiny swapping is the idea that one person can “steal” or exchange their life path, success, energy, or blessing with another person’s. Fans are likely tying the theory to GloRilla’s aesthetic shift.
GloRilla Still Has Her Original Style

GloRilla doesn’t appear to have completely changed her original style. Rather, she blends it with the more feminine looks.
In a September post, she wore a sweater layered over a white collared shirt, baggy shorts, a hat, Louis Vuitton Sneakers, and a customized Speedy Bandoulière 25 bag. The look was very much tomboyish and similar to her old style.
But Megan Thee Stallion’s name popped up again. One user asked, “Why are you beefing with Meg now?” Even with the baggy clothes, which aren’t Megan’s style, someone still asked, “Megan on your mood board?”
Rumored Beef With Megan Thee Stallion

GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion formed a close bond following their collaboration on GloRilla’s “Wanna Be.” But the friendship took a hit after GloRilla reposted a Tory Lanez song on her Instagram story in May. This led to a social media uproar because of Tory Lanez's conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
Megan unfollowed her after this. GloRilla went on X later to say it was an “innocent repost.” The two rappers eventually refollowed each other, suggesting things had cooled off privately.
But fans are still fueling the beef rumors, especially after their stylists reportedly threw shade at each other. Plus, GloRilla liked a post that allegedly called Megan Thee Stallion “bitter” for being “outsold by GloRilla.”

Controversy aside, GloRilla’s success keeps growing. On November 7, she snagged three Grammy nominations. One in the Best Rap Album category for her debut album “Glorious,” then two in the Best Rap Song category for her song “TGIF” and feature on Tyler, The Creator’s “Sticky.” Fans were elated by the news, insisting she’s “so deserving.”
