Jeremy Renner has denied allegations from filmmaker Yi Zhou, who accused him of sending explicit photos and threatening to call immigration on her after their alleged brief romance.
Zhou claimed the actor later denied their relationship and refused to promote their joint project. His attorney has since called her claims "fabricated" and retaliatory.
Jeremy Renner has now hit his accuser with a cease and desist letter, claiming she was the one who pursued him for a romantic relationship.
Jeremy Renner Sends His Accuser A Cease And Desist Letter, Claims She Aggressively Came Onto Him

On Friday, Renner took the legal route in an attempt to contain the ongoing stream of accusations pouring out against him by his former business partner and alleged lover, Yi Zhou.
According to TMZ, in a copy of a cease and desist letter sent out by the actor's lawyer, Marty Singer, Renner claims Zhou came on to him during their first meeting in July after he agreed to take part in her documentary, "Chronicles of Disney."
The actor then admitted that he and Zhou had a "brief consensual encounter," however, when they met again in August, he turned down her alleged sexual advances, opting to keep things professional by putting her in his guest bedroom.
Renner went on to claim that this didn't stop Zhou from being flirtatious with him, noting that after their August collaboration, she sent him a myriad of NSFW texts demanding he sleep with her.
One such text read, "I want him inside of me so badly so so badly f--k me, babe," and another alleged text had her requesting to play with the actor's "fake giant thing" while she thought about his "real giant."
The Actor Claims Yi Zhou Threatened To 'Harm Him Publicly,' Hints At Plans To Sue The Filmmaker

Renner is accusing Zhou of threatening to "harm him publicly" if he doesn't agree to promote her Disney documentary, and also "make it falsely appear" like they were once a couple.
The actor then fired a warning, telling the filmmaker that if she doesn't stop spreading "false, fabricated and salacious lies" about him, she will face a hefty lawsuit that could cost her millions.
In a statement to Page Six, a representative for Renner also firmly refuted Zhou's accusations, calling them "totally inaccurate and untrue."
Zhou, 37, who claims she has also sent Renner three cease and desist letters, went public earlier this week, alleging that the "Hawkeye" star began reaching out to her in June with "personal and intimate photos."
She claimed Renner told her he was single and was "open to a long-term relationship," leading her to believe their connection was genuine. "I believed in him, in the power of love and in the possibility of redemption," she said.
The pair reportedly collaborated on the upcoming documentary "Chronicles of Disney," but Zhou alleged Renner later denied any personal or professional relationship.
"When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me," she said, describing the alleged incident as "deeply shocking and frightening."
More About Yi Zhou's Claims Against Jeremy Renner

In a follow-up interview with the Daily Mail, Zhou shared what she claimed was a screenshot of a sexually explicit video Renner allegedly sent via WhatsApp, along with the message "Oh, yes?"
She claimed it wasn't an isolated incident, saying she had "a collection" of similar videos and photos the actor had shared with her.
According to Zhou, their brief relationship eventually deteriorated after she felt he had "used and denied" her. She maintained that Renner was the one who initiated contact, stating, "I did not reach out to him; he pursued me. I didn't even know his name, never watched a movie of his."
Just a month ago, Zhou had publicly referred to Renner as her "new love," posting images and clips of them together in Reno, Nevada, where the actor has been recovering from his near-fatal snowplow accident.
More recently, Zhou accused Renner of distancing himself from their professional work, claiming he refused to promote their joint projects. On Instagram, she said he failed to correct "false information" spread by fan pages suggesting their documentary was AI-generated and that they never worked together. "Those statements are untrue," she wrote.
The Actor's Lawyer Denies Yi Zhou's Allegations, Calls Claims Retaliation

Meanwhile, Renner's attorney, Marty Singer, dismissed Zhou's allegations as retaliation, asserting that she became hostile after the actor "rejected her romantic advances" and declined to promote her work online.
According to Singer, Renner and Zhou met only once in July during an interview for her documentary and shared a "brief consensual encounter."
Since then, Singer claimed, Renner has cut off contact despite receiving "sexually explicit messages expressing her love" from Zhou, the most recent of which allegedly came on October 24.
Singer added that Zhou's claim about the ICE threat is "a fabrication," insisting that Renner has been the target of her persistent harassment rather than the aggressor.
Jeremy Renner Denied Abuse Allegations From His Ex-Wife, Sonni Pacheco

Renner has faced past allegations of abusive behavior from his ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco. The two were married briefly between 2014 and 2015 before their split turned contentious.
Following the divorce, Pacheco filed for sole custody of their daughter, Ava, accusing the actor of being an "unfit parent" and alleging that he used drugs around their child and made violent threats against both her and himself.
In court filings, Pacheco claimed Renner once spoke about killing her before taking his own life and accused him of biting their daughter, Ava. Renner dismissed the allegations, describing them as exaggerated and intended to serve "a specific goal." He insisted the mark on Ava's shoulder came from a seatbelt that had "pinched" her rather than from any act of aggression.
However, multiple acquaintances reportedly supported Pacheco's claims, with one alleging that Renner had left drugs and alcohol within reach of his daughter and passed out while she was in the house. Another said she once witnessed him put a gun to his mouth and fire it at the ceiling.
Renner, however, has consistently denied all accusations, telling The Guardian in a 2023 interview that the claims were nothing more than "clickbait." The actor and Pacheco currently share joint custody of their now 12-year-old daughter.
