Antonio Brown is back on U.S. soil, but not for a game.

The former NFL star has been extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Florida, where he now faces an attempted murder charge.

Antonio Brown's return to the U.S. marks the latest chapter in his long list of legal troubles, coming just months after he was accused of misleading the court by skipping a crucial bankruptcy hearing in April.

Brown was detained overseas before being handed over to federal agents, who escorted him to the New York area for transfer to local authorities. From there, Brown is set to be moved to South Florida, where the alleged crime occurred.

Brown was reportedly attempting to stay out of reach of the U.S. legal system while abroad, but his time overseas has now come to an end.

The 37-year-old will face one count of attempted second-degree murder with a deadly weapon and is expected to be held at the Miami-Dade Department of Corrections once he arrives.

A mug shot obtained by TMZ shows Brown in a dark track jacket with a close-cropped haircut, a far cry from his once-flashy image.

All About The Alleged Shooting At Florida Boxing Event

Brown's legal troubles deepened after Miami-Dade authorities issued a warrant accusing him of attempted murder linked to a violent incident at a celebrity boxing event.

The star allegedly fired shots during a brawl that quickly turned chaotic. Witnesses claimed the altercation began when a group of men confronted Brown, allegedly over jewelry.

The Blast reported that video footage captured Brown throwing punches as tensions escalated. The clip reportedly shows him fleeing the scene while holding what looked like a firearm, followed by the sound of gunfire.

One of those men, identified as Zül-Qarnaįn, came forward to deny trying to rob the ex-football star, insisting he was not there to steal anything. Brown, however,  maintained he acted in self-defense.

Brown's off-field troubles did not start with his recent attempted murder case; they have been building for years. The footballer has faced a string of arrests, controversies, and public meltdowns, long before his latest scandal.

In 2023, Brown was arrested in Florida after failing to pay over $30,000 in child support to his ex, Wiltrice Jackson. She claimed the former athlete believed he was "untouchable" and wanted him jailed to learn accountability. Brown was later released on a $15,000 bond.

His legal woes did not stop there. In 2022, he was wanted for domestic battery before the case was dropped. That same year, his NFL career imploded when he stripped off his jersey mid-game against the New York Jets, prompting his release from the Buccaneers.

Brown's legal troubles from 2022 and 2023 did not slow him down, because by 2025, he was back in hot water. Before the attempted murder charge surfaced, he was already facing accusations of misleading the court during his bankruptcy case.

The Blast reported that in April, Brown's lawyer told the court he was too sick to attend a key hearing, a claim that quickly unraveled when the trustee discovered he had appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast the very next day.

The trustee overseeing the case accused Brown of playing games with the system and questioned the accuracy of his financial records.

The trustee argued that Brown's numbers were either sloppy or deliberately false and pushed to either dismiss the bankruptcy or convert it to Chapter 7, which would give the court tighter control over his assets.

Brown stirred up more controversy in September, and this time, it had nothing to do with football or his finances. The father of seven reignited headlines by taking a jab at Trump.

The Blast detailed how Brown jumped into the political debate after reacting on X to a post by Florida's Voice reporter Eric Daugherty. The post revealed that House lawmakers had introduced a bill to mint 400,000 silver coins featuring the late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in 2026.

From outside the U.S., Brown mocked the effort as a political distraction, claiming officials were wasting time to avoid exposing the Epstein files. "They're doing literally the dumbest sh-t you can possibly think of just to avoid releasing the Epstein files," he wrote, adding a laughing emoji.
