Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland recently died by self-inflicted gunshot wounds after a pursuit by DPS troopers.

A chilling police audio has now revealed how his girlfriend made a frantic plea over the radio, revealing he was "armed" and that she feared he might "end it all."

Tributes continue to pour in from all quarters in the world of football as his agent released a heartfelt statement about his passing.

More details concerning the tragic death of Marshawn Kneeland continue to emerge after his girlfriend, Catalina, was overheard on the radio expressing her fears he'd take his own life.

According to TMZ Sports, a two-minute-plus audio dispatch captures a dispatcher relaying a dire warning after speaking with Catalina, who claimed the late football star was "armed" and that she was particularly concerned he would "end it all."

"We're talking to the girlfriend, she's trying to call the agent, so we're trying to get her to call him first, but she's saying he is armed and has a history of mental illness, and her quote was, 'He will end it all,'" the dispatcher said.

The warning prompted an immediate caution to officers: "You all do me a favor, everybody stay with a buddy, don't go looking alone, this guy is armed."

The Late NFL Player's Body Was Found Near A Building

Elsewhere on the audio dispatch, someone said Kneeland's body was found in a porta-potty near a building.

"We didn't see any movement, still got that heat signature, looks like it's curled up at the bottom of that porta-potty," the dispatcher said. "With the stream of blood coming from the porta-potty."

Another person stated: "He's going to be lying on his side, facing inward, and quite a bit of blood coming out, a possible (indecipherable)."

Kneeland was eventually located in the early morning hours of Thursday, deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Marshawn Kneeland Texted Family 'Goodbye'

Kneeland's death came as a shock for many on Thursday morning, but the situation seemingly began late Wednesday night when Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation, all to no avail.

The situation then spiralled into an unsuccessful pursuit as the authorities were forced to quit after they lost sight of the vehicle. They later found it abandoned but with traces of a collision, as the Frisco police department and "DPS Aircraft and troopers" found Kneeland dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He seemed to be in bad shape mentally, as the dispatcher also confirmed that he had sent a group text message to loved ones, simply saying "goodbye."

"…I just received a group text from him saying goodbye, they're concerned for his welfare, they do not have a key to the apartment," one dispatcher said in the clip, which appeared to start mid-sentence.

Another dispatcher later said that no one was at the apartment, while another noted that the NFL called Plano, Texas, police.

Since the news of his suicide, tributes have poured in for the late sports star, whom his team praised in an emotional statement.

"It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization," the Cowboys said in a release. "Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend, Catalina, and his family."

The loss of the second-year defensive end, a second-round draft pick in 2024, has sent the football world into grief, with many fans taking to social media to pay their respects.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the passing of Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland," the NFL wrote. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his girlfriend Catalina, family, friends, and his teammates."

Someone else called his death a "tragic loss," while another noted how sometimes "those with the ability to lift those up around, are in the deepest of pain."
