As stated, the alleged assassination plot against Kim first made waves in the trailer for season 7 of "The Kardashians." The clip captured Kim telling her family that someone was out to get her, per the information obtained from her private investigators.

"I'm terrified out of my mind," Kim confessed in the clip. According to the information given to her by private investigators, the culprit was someone close to her. Sources told RadarOnline that the news left Kim fearing for her safety, and she immediately beefed up her security detail.

One source explained that the mother of four wished to keep herself safe as well as her kids, leading to a round-the-clock protection scheme. "Kim hasn't taken any chances.

While addressing Kim's increased security detail, both sources stressed that she wasn't taking any chances after all she had been through. Their words referenced the traumatic robbery she experienced in Paris during the 2016 Fashion Week event.

PEOPLE reported that Kim was held at gunpoint by a gang of men who infiltrated the apartment she was staying at and made off with approximately $10 million worth of jewelry. The list of items they stole included the $4 million diamond ring gifted to Kim by her then-husband, Kanye "Ye" West.

The experience left a scar in Kim's heart, forcing her to scale down her diamond accessories in public. However, she came back bigger and bolder than ever in 2018 when she rocked statement diamond pieces from Tiffany & Co., with beefed-up security to ensure her safety.

The alleged murder plot and the Paris robbery weren't the only moments that called for an increase in Kim's security. Earlier this year, The Blast reported that she had taken more protective measures for herself and her children over her ex-husband's outbursts.

Ye was no stranger to his controversial online appearance; however, Kim could not risk him baring his fangs at her. Sources alleged that she was "absolutely horrified" by his allegations and had taken extreme measures to protect herself and her kids from his explosive outbursts.

One of the many claims Ye threw at Kim was his inability to be a father. He accused his ex-wife of refusing to allow him to be a dad or see their four children. On that note, he declared in a Live that he would "go get these kids," causing Kim to fear for her children's safety.
