A clip of Erika Kirk sharing an emotional hug with Vice President J.D. Vance has sparked intense online debate, and now, a lip reader has revealed the six words she appeared to say during the moment.
The hug has since been labeled inappropriate by many who felt it was disrespectful to her late husband, Charlie Kirk.
The right-wing activist was assassinated last month during an event in Utah, and his accused killer, whom Erika Kirk has forgiven, is currently facing charges of aggravated murder and other felonies.

Mrs. Erika Kirk must be a force that Satan wants to destroy because the amount of malice and fabrication people have used to tear her down is egregious.

Last month, during Erika Kirk's first Turning Point USA campus appearance following her husband's death, the widow shared a tight hug with Vice President J.D. Vance, who attended the event to support her.
As seen in behind-the-scenes clips that have since gone viral, the two also exchanged a few words that were unclear at the time.
Now, according to lip reader Nicola Hickling, the exchange was preceded by an emotional moment with her assistant about being unable to take the stage, as shown in the footage.
"I can't do this, I don't want to do it," the lip reader revealed, adding that the widow also asked her assistant to give her some time to compose herself, perMirror U.S.
When Erika eventually took the stage and embraced Vance, the vice president reportedly told her, "I'm proud of you."
Then, upon them pulling apart, Erika replied with, "It's not gonna bring him back," referencing her late husband's demise.
Erika Kirk Forgave Her Husband's Alleged Killer

During Kirk's memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, Erika revealed she had forgiven the man accused of killing her husband.
"My husband, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life," she said. "That man, that young man – I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do."
Kirk's killer is alleged to be Tyler Roobinson, who is currently facing multiple felony counts, including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, a violent offense committed in the presence of a child, two counts of obstruction of justice, and two counts of witness tampering.
As for why Erika is choosing to take the high road, she explained that she does not "want that man's blood on my ledger."
Erika Kirk Mourned Her Late Husband With An Emotional Message

Erika has also publicly mourned the loss of her husband in an emotional Instagram post she shared last month.
She began by telling her followers that "there is no linear blueprint for grief," before going on to describe the unpredictable nature of her grieving process.
"One day you're collapsed on the floor, crying out the name Jesus in between labored breaths," the widow of the activist wrote.
She continued, "The next you're playing with your children in the living room, surrounded by family photos, and feeling a rush of something you can only attempt to define as divinely planted and bittersweet joy as a smile breaks through on your face."
The New Turning Point CEO Says Her Love For Charlie Kirk Has Been 'Amplified' And 'Crystalized'

Adding to the emotional post was a montage of moments she shared with Kirk, along with clips from his memorial service, which drew tens of thousands of attendees.
The mother of two also noted that, despite Kirk's passing, she remains committed to loving him.
"It's humbling to realize that this magnitude of suffering didn't steal my love for my husband, she further remarked.
Erika added, "It amplified it. It crystallized it. I carry my Charlie in every breath, in every ache, and in every quiet act of day-to-day living as I attempt to relearn what that rhythm will be."
Erika Kirk Recently Turned Down An Opportunity To Appear On Jimmy Kimmel's Show

Kirk's death also sparked a barrage of reactions, which at one point took a political turn.
One of the most prominent came from late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel, who said on air that the "MAGA gang" was portraying Tyler Robinson as anything but "one of them."
The remark caused widespread outrage and led to Kimmel's temporary suspension. When he returned, he did not issue a proper apology to Kirk's grieving family.
In an interview with Fox News' Jesse Watters, Erika revealed that she had been contacted by the comedian's network about appearing on his show, during which he intended to apologize.
Rather than accepting, Erika turned down the offer and criticized the approach, adding that she wasn't interested in the apology.
"I told them thank you, we received their note. This is not our issue. It's not our mess," Erika said, per The Blast.
"If you wanna say I'm sorry to someone who's grieving, go right ahead. But if that's not in your heart, then don't do it. I don't want it. I don't need it," Erika further stated.
