What seemed like the end of a high-profile legal war has taken a dramatic new turn. Justin Baldoni isn’t ready to surrender in his bitter courtroom showdown with Blake Lively.
After reports claimed his $400 million lawsuit against the actress had collapsed, Baldoni’s team is now pushing back hard, insisting the battle is far from over.
The director of “It Ends With Us,” through his lawyer, is setting the record straight and signaling that he intends to fight until the very end.
Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Denies Missed Deadlines

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, quickly refuted reports that his client had failed to meet key court deadlines, which allegedly caused the dismissal of his massive lawsuit.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, Freedman clarified that no deadlines were missed.
He said the decision not to file an amended complaint was strategic, intended to preserve Baldoni’s right to appeal.
“The truth regarding this case continuously and completely gets distorted in the media,” he said. “At this point, we have to set the record straight: no deadlines were missed. Our clients chose not to amend their complaint to preserve appeal rights.”
According to him, the focus now is on countering Lively’s accusations.
“We remain fully committed to pursuing the truth through every legal and factual avenue available and look forward to our day in court,” he concluded.
Blake Lively’s Allegations Ignite Legal Firestorm

Lively sparked the ongoing legal feud when she filed a $250 million sexual harassment complaint against Justin Baldoni last December.
The “Gossip Girl” star accused the “It Ends With Us” director of inappropriate conduct on set and claimed he helped spread false information about her.
Her lawsuit was followed by a New York Times exposé that painted Baldoni as manipulative and controlling, accusations he strongly denies.
Lively’s filing detailed incidents she said left her “deeply uncomfortable” while working on the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel.
What began as a workplace dispute soon exploded into a high-stakes legal and media battle involving major Hollywood names, including Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, and even Taylor Swift, who was reportedly subpoenaed before later being cleared from involvement.
Justin Baldoni’s $400 Million Counterattack

Baldoni hit back quickly, filing a $400 million defamation lawsuit against the actress, Reynolds, and The New York Times.
The actor-director alleged that Lively had “knowingly misrepresented” events and tried to take control of his film.
According to his claim, the 38-year-old even compared herself to “Khaleesi” from Game of Thrones, boasting that her husband and Swift were her “dragons.”
His filing accused her of using her celebrity power to distort the truth and damage his professional reputation.
The lawsuit was initially dismissed after Baldoni missed the chance to amend his complaint, but his legal team now insists that the decision was deliberate to protect his right to appeal.
With Freedman reaffirming their intent to continue the fight, it’s clear that Baldoni isn’t backing down despite public scrutiny.
Fresh Accusations Over ‘Pornography’ Video

Amid the escalating legal war, a new controversy emerged from Lively’s separate motion involving “It Ends With Us” producer Jamey Heath.
As The Blast reported, the “Another Simple Favor” star accused Heath of showing her and her assistant a “fully nude” home-birth video of his wife, which she described as “pornography.”
She alleged that Heath, with Justin Baldoni present, used the clip to illustrate their “vision” for a birthing scene in the movie.
In a filing submitted to the Southern District Court of New York, the actress claimed Heath failed to comply with a court order requiring the full video.
According to her, only a three-minute version was turned over, which she “has consistently disputed” as the same footage shown to her.
Lively’s legal team argued that the producer’s attorneys “refused to provide any further video,” interpreting the order too narrowly.
Discovery War Deepens Between Justin Baldoni And Blake Lively

Tensions between the two camps have only intensified as the discovery process unfolds.
Lively’s lawyers have accused Baldoni’s team of filing numerous motions, no fewer than twelve, to overwhelm them.
They also alleged that the actor and his associates used “digital tricks” to hide evidence, including the use of the Signal app, encrypted voice memos, and other private communication tools.
The filing stated that “defendants have hid the ball at every turn in the discovery process, either failing to produce documents, or improperly cloaking them in attorney-client privilege.”
Meanwhile, Baldoni’s side continues to deny all allegations of misconduct, maintaining that his actions were professional and in line with industry standards.
Both parties remain firm in their positions, with no sign of reconciliation in sight.
