Kristin Chenoweth earned knocks for her empathy towards Charlie Kirk!
The American actress finally reflected on the outrage that trailed her kind words towards the political activist's family after he was shot in Utah during one of his shows.
Kristin Chenoweth has publicly stuck to her guns about somewhat controversial topics, picking the side of love, consideration, and kindness.
Kristin Chenoweth Revealed She Went Through Tough Times Following Her Comment

The TV personality noted that the harsh reaction from the public towards her comment on Kirk's death dealt a crushing blow to her mental health. She admitted that it was really tough on her, but she took the time to address it behind closed doors.
"But I'm not going to answer any questions about it because I dealt with it. It nearly broke me, and that's all I'm going to say. You probably know my heart, so you probably know," Chenoweth noted.
The actress had opened a can of worms when fans caught a glimpse of her sadness under the post of Turning Point USA (Kirk's organization) on Instagram. She admitted that she was upset about his murder despite sharing differing perspectives on sensitive issues.
As reported by Hollywood Reporter, she described the assassination as a heartbreaking development, sending soothing words to his young family, assuring them that he was in "heaven."
Unlike Chenoweth, Jamie Lee Curtis Did A 180 On Her Sympathy

Chenoweth is not the only popular Hollywood figure to receive knocks over their sympathetic stance on Kirk's death. The Blast noted that Curtis received so much heat for her statement that she took everything back and emphasized that she only directed the positive words at Kirk's faith.
She clarified her stance during an interview on Variety, explaining that she was severely misinterpreted and the narrative had gone too far. The actress added that her good words about Kirk were an appreciation of the public expression of his faith in God.
However, Curtis duly recognized the complexity of the world and how it has become increasingly complex to hold two conflicting views. She found a connection between her statement and the backlash, stating:
"In the binary world today, you cannot hold two ideas at the same time: I cannot be Jewish and totally believe in Israel's right to exist and at the same time reject the destruction of Gaza."
Dave Chappelle Expressed His Thought On Blacklisting Anti-Charlie Kirk Commenters

Reacting to the tense political environment in America surrounding Kirk's death and the sudden crackdown on free speech, the comedian spoke during his show in Saudi Arabia.
Performing in front of a 6000 packed audience stadium, Chappelle explained that free speech had become history during Trump's administration, who would use any opportunity to annihilate freedom of expression.
He stressed that Saudi Arabia currently experiences a better and more suitable political environment than America, which is the famed "Land of the Free."
Chappelle added that he was very expectant of a possible political and career sabotage due to his previous comments on America's role in escalating the Israel/Gaza crisis, which has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives and displaced millions.
The 'Holidate' Actress Is A Firm Believer In Forgiveness And Faith

Chenoweth expressed a few days after leaving that comment under Kirk's post that she never meant to cause distress for her fans, as she only had a moment of sober reflection as a human.
She added that she has always lived her life as a follower of faith and forgiveness, which is why it was easy for her to also queue behind the LGBTQ+ community.
While some religious folks might have a problem with her stance towards same-sex marriage, The Blast stated that the actress insisted that humanity and love must always come first.
Chenoweth was also in the spotlight due to her comments on Diddy's arrest. While the actress did not take a stand on his guilt or innocence, she did declare that she would be sending prayers his way.
She spun the same forgiveness narrative after his assault video involving Cassie became public, noting that she was glad Cassie came out alive. In her words: "He is ill. Sick. Only God can forgive him. So forgive me, but that's how I think. And pray."
Kristin Chenoweth Reflected On Years Of Abuse Amid Diddy's Story

The Hollywood figure's comments were immediately countered by critics who insisted that Diddy was too far gone to be saved. One abuse survivor narrated her story, stating that no prayer can change evil, as her abuser became enraged at her praying for him.
Chenoweth then replied with a touching account of her painful experience years ago, which left her deeply affected physically and spiritually. As always, the actress revealed that her goal was to pray for herself and her abuser, who was also a victim of abuse while growing up.
She described that period as one of the lowest in her life and hoped her story helped someone out of their pain and misery.
Kristin Chenoweth's ways are nothing short of amusing for sure!
