Erika Kirk has disclosed her response to Jimmy Kimmel after he seemingly reached out to her following his controversial comments about her husband, Charlie Kirk's alleged killer.

In the aftermath of the right-wing activist's assassination, the comedian said on air that the "MAGA gang" was painting Tyler Robinson to be anything but "one of them."

The remarks sparked widespread outrage, leading to Jimmy Kimmel's temporary suspension from the show.

Erika shut down an opportunity to appear on Kimmel's show, where he intended to offer an apology to her over his incendiary remarks about her husband's alleged killer.

Speaking with Fox News's Jesse Watters, the widow revealed that she had been contacted by the late-night host's network about appearing. However, she felt there was no reason for her to show up for an apology to be issued.

"I told them thank you, we received their note. This is not our issue. It's not our mess," Erika told Walters during the Fox News appearance.

She went on to criticize the way Kimmel attempted to offer his apology and then made it clear that it was not wanted.

"If you wanna say I'm sorry to someone who's grieving, go right ahead. But if that's not in your heart, then don't do it. I don't want it. I don't need it," Erika further remarked, per the New York Post.

Five days after Kirk was assassinated, Kimmel linked his accused killer to "MAGA" during his usual monologue on his late-night show.

"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said during the September 15 monologue.

The statement sparked outrage online from Kirk sympathizers and ultimately led to Kimmel's show being taken off air by broadcasters Sinclair and Nexstar Media.

The TV personality was then suspended by Disney, who slammed his comments as "ill-timed and insensitive."

Kimmel's suspension barely lasted a week before he was reinstated in the wake of thoughtful conversations with Disney.

Upon his return, he offered to the general public an apology for his remarks, saying it was never his "intention to make light of the murder" of Kirk.

However, at the time, he made no direct apology to Kirk's family, which led to many individuals criticizing Kimmel's words as lukewarm and insincere.

During a memorial for Kirk, Erika revealed that she has forgiven Robinson despite the gruesome act he allegedly committed.

"My husband, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life," Erika said at the event held in Glendale, Arizona. "That man, that young man – I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do."

The wife of the activist also revealed why she was motivated to forgive him rather than seek vengeance.

"I'll be honest. I told our lawyer, I want the government to decide this. I do not want that man's blood on my ledger," she said, per The Guardian.

Erika added, "Because when I get to heaven, and Jesus is like, 'Uh, [an] eye for an eye? Is that how we do it?' And that keeps me from being in heaven, from being with Charlie?

As for Kirk's accused killer, he is currently being held at the Utah County Jail after his arrest in September.

He is charged with multiple felony counts, including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, a violent offense committed in the presence of a child, two counts of obstruction of justice, and two counts of witness tampering.
