Earlier in the year, The Blast shared that the vocalist turned her smash hit single "A Thousand Years" into a children's book. She commended the success of the song, which was really unexpected as a catalyst for turning it into a children's book.
Perri noted that she wrote the song at the age of 24 in 2011 and did not envisage it would become the wedding anthem for everyone nearly two decades down the line.
"Now everybody started having babies, and everyone is playing this song for their babies. And then I myself started having babies, so it's all been like an organic timeline, like in my actual life," the songwriter added.
She declared that the song would go down in history as one of the best wedding songs of all time. Perri continued that she also made a lullaby version of the song to appeal to a younger audience, and now it has taken off on TikTok.
Christina Perri's Book Illustrations Were A Tribute To Her Daughters

The singer revealed that she always read books with her girls, and that hobby developed into a passion which prompted her to finally make a children's book. In a way, the book is a testament to Perri's bond with her daughters, including details like the illustrations contained in the leaves.
She teamed up with illustrator Hwang Ruiz to bring her imagination to life, which also included her daughter, Carmella's pet bunny. When Ruiz also sent her pitch for the project, her daughters bought into the idea, making it an instant match.
"She made it so that Carmella's bunny is on every page, so you can look for the bunny, which my daughters loved when we opened the book. Joy did such an amazing job. I'm just in love with her work," the recording artist stressed.
Either way, the talented singer is beyond glad that generations, both young and old, could relate to "A Thousand Years."
