Sabrina Carpenter In Newspaper Bodysuit Told She Looks ‘Cheap’

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter is continuing to deliver showgirl vibes as she continues her Short n’ Sweet tour in New York City. The “Espresso” singer has been delivering a series of standout performances following the release of her collaboration with Taylor Swift, titled “The Life of a Showgirl,” off the “Anti-Hero” singer’s new album. Fans have been loving her showgirl looks lately, but almost everyone agreed this one was a showstopper! A few naysayers, however, slammed the outfit and told her it looked “cheap.”

A photo of the “Nonsense” singer performing on tour in her strapless, curve-hugging bodysuit was shared by the pop culture account Pop Base on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Ngl, that newspaper bodysuit is a whole newsstand vibe. Sabrina is out here making headlines literally,” one fan commented.

“Sabrina is turning the stage into her personal front page, bold, cheeky, and impossible to ignore. This is Iconic,” another follower wrote next to a fire emoji.

Fans continued to praise her outfit in the comments. “Read all about it,” a third fan teased.

Unfortunately, not everyone was a fan of her latest look. “She looks a mess, and it looks cheap,” one user wrote. Although the comment got six likes, it also got ten comments from Sabrina fans telling the user to shut up and take their negativity elsewhere.

“All I see is you under Sabrina-related posts. How about you do me and everyone a favor and shut the f-ck up, you stupid f-cking closeted fan. Sabrina lives rent-free in your dumb-ss head,” one fan replied to the user, clearly not tolerating any Sabrina hate on their dash.

In a launch party video obtained by The Blast, the “Cruel Summer” explained how the album’s title track followed the story of a fictional showgirl named Kitty. When she was done writing the song, she realized that she wanted Sabrina to “sing on this so bad.”

"She's someone who's really well equipped for this career," Swift said. "She's so good at moving through backlash or criticism, or people being unfair to her or picking her apart. She has the temperament to pivot and use it as fuel."

"That's kind of what the song was about, having this love for it and a love for the game that overrides how hard this can be," she added.
