Prince Harry Reportedly Worried About His Titles After Andrew's Shock Demotion: 'His Stomach Dropped'

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has reportedly been left worried following the news of his uncle, Andrew, being stripped of his "Prince" title.

Insiders claim the U.S.-based royal thought such titles were "untouchable," but, now, with what has happened to the former Duke of York, he's "not so sure."

Since Prince Harry stepped down as a working royal, alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, there have been calls for both of them to be stripped of their titles; however, they have continued to use them, with the Duchess of Sussex once sending out a gift to a pal of hers signed as "HRH."

Harry seems to have been affected by the latest blow dealt to his disgraced uncle, the former Prince Andrew, but not out of pity for him, but instead out of fear for his own titles.

Buckingham Palace confirmed in a statement that Andrew will officially be stripped of his title of Prince and will now go by Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The move came as a shock to many, as the 65-year-old had recently relinquished his "Duke" titles while still retaining his princehood.

This significant move has now reportedly left Prince Harry uncertain about his and his wife's titles, as he didn't see it coming.

An insider, speaking with British-American journalist Rob Shuter's #Shuterscoop, revealed that the news "blindsided" the Duke of Sussex.

"His stomach dropped," the close source claimed. "He thought titles were untouchable. Now he's not so sure."

The monarchy's shocking move to demote a blood prince is said to have also left Harry's wife, Meghan, "equally rattled."

The former actress is reportedly worried about the "Prince/Princess" branding tied to their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, vanishing, alongside their Hollywood deals.

"A title isn't sentimental," a top Los Angeles strategist stated about the impact of Andrew's loss. "It's leverage in every negotiation."

Rob Shuter, a royal expert and former publicist to Princess Michael of Kent, further warned, "Once a palace is willing to demote blood princes, everyone should be nervous."

Behind the scenes, there have been talks of William being the driving force behind Andrew's exile from the royal family, especially the removal of his titles.

Palace sources claim that William felt his uncle was damaging the monarchy's image and had made moves to separate him from the royal family.

According to The Daily Beast, the Prince of Wales also has a plan to demote all non-working royals when he becomes king, and this includes his younger brother, Harry, and sister-in-law, Meghan.

Multiple sources told the news outlet that William will "remove princely titles from all non-working royals" and also strip them of their honorific titles.

As for their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, their royal titles will reportedly be "parked" until they are old enough to decide whether or not they would like to be working royals.

Earlier this month, Meghan came under fire over a video she shared of herself in a car with her legs up, heading toward her hotel in Paris after attending the Balenciaga fashion show.

While seemingly innocent, the duchess faced heavy backlash due to the location she was driving to, which was the crash site of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

At the time, Meghan was slammed as "insensitive," with many claiming the clip should prompt William to strip her of her titles.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared that William likely saw the video as "an ill-judged and self-centered mistake."

He also noted that the incident may have put Harry in a tough spot, balancing his instinct to protect Meghan with the public fallout.

"He is unable to shield Meghan from the repercussions of her mistake; it cannot be undone," he said. "If the average person filmed a video like that, it wouldn't matter. But every single thing Meghan does is scrutinised, by friend or foe."

Days after Meghan faced criticism for her behavior near the site of Princess Diana's fatal crash, new reports have surfaced detailing Harry's reaction to the controversy.

According to the Daily Mail, the Duke of Sussex was said to be "hurt and upset" by the backlash directed at his wife.

"Harry was left hurt and upset. Diana's death was used as a stick to beat his wife with. [Meghan] did not even pass close to the tunnel," the outlet reported about the comments of a source close to the couple.

The source also told the outlet that the Invictus Games founder was left "despondent but not surprised" by the situation, given that his wife has faced similar waves of criticism in the past.
