Life has changed drastically for Sarah Ferguson, who will now be moving out of the Royal Lodge.
The author’s move comes after her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, was stripped of his royal titles and ordered to surrender the lease to the royal residence, which was once their home.
Ferguson and Andrew got married in 1986 and finalized their divorce 10 years later. Though separated, the duo have been living at the Royal Lodge since 2008.
Sarah Ferguson Will Be Moving Into A Separate Home

Although Ferguson stayed in the Royal Lodge with Prince Andrew, she will now move into a separate home alone.
A source confirmed that the TV personality did not ask for any property for herself. Instead, she plans to “move forward independently” and find a place without relying on anyone.
“Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself. She will continue to forge an independent life,” the source added, as reported by PEOPLE Magazine.
Although the location of Ferguson’s new home remains unknown, sources indicate that Sandringham may not be at the top of her list. Meanwhile, Prince Andrew will move to the Sandringham estate, and King Charles will handle any future accommodation logistics the former may need.
Andrew moved into the 30-room Windsor Great Park mansion in 2003, and Ferguson joined him in 2008. The mansion has hosted many great memories and celebrations for the former couple and their children, including Princess Eugenie’s evening wedding reception in 2018. Their other daughter, Princess Beatrice, also got married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a royal chapel near the lodge.
Sarah Ferguson Reportedly Has ‘Nowhere To Go’

News of Ferguson’s new living situation comes a few days after The Blast reported that the former duchess had fears about being stranded and was “on edge” about her future inside the Royal Lodge.
According to an insider, Ferguson “has nowhere to go – or anyone else to go with.”
Although the author and her ex-husband did not plan to move to a new home together, there were rumors that she was eyeing Adelaide Cottage as a potential new residence.
Meanwhile, rumors suggested that her ex-husband was interested in Frogmore Cottage, which previously belonged to Prince Harry and Meghan. Despite the rumors, an insider insisted that the former couple made no demands.
“The suggestion that they have been demanding a new home each is misrepresentative of the truth. No demands have been made. People have been trying to come up with solutions," the source clarified.
King Charles Stripped Prince Andrew Of His Titles

The turmoil in Ferguson and Andrew’s lives stems directly from King Charles’s decision to strip Andrew of all his royal titles, styles, and honors.
He will also lose his honorary recognitions, including the Order of the Garter and the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.
Following this directive, the Duke of York, who was once a senior working royal, will now be simply known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
According to The Blast, Palace insiders confirmed that the decision was made “entirely” by the king, without interference from the government or other royal personalities.
It came after lengthy discussions were held over growing concerns about the former Duke of York’s past friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the late convicted child sex offender.
The Palace Deemed It ‘Necessary’ To Strip Andrew Of His Titles

In the royal statement that confirmed Prince Andrew’s excommunication, the palace made it clear that the decision was “deemed necessary.” Although Andrew continued to deny the allegations against him firmly, the palace remained unswayed.
The statement further sympathized with victims of abuse, reading, “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
Andrew's official exile followed the resurfacing of new emails showing that he had downplayed his relationship with Epstein after claiming to have cut ties with him in 2010.
Prince William Allegedly Put Pressure on Princess Eugenie And Beatrice To Facilitate Their Father’s Exit

After Andrew was ordered to vacate the royal residence, he reportedly resisted leaving, prompting Prince William to issue an ultimatum to his daughters.
Royal sources claim Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s titles were put on the line to persuade their father to leave, per The Blast.
A broadcaster with inside details on the story said that William told the two girls to get their dad to move out of the Royal Lodge, “otherwise, we will start re-examining the state of your own titles.”
