"I'm actually donating my kidney in six weeks. I really am," Eisenberg revealed with a mix of excitement and humility.

When asked what inspired such a life-changing decision, he admitted, "I don't know why." The actor then explained that, once he got into the habit of donating blood, he felt inspired to do more.

In the same "Today" interview, Eisenberg addressed why he won't be returning as Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming sequel to "The Social Network."

The actor, who earned an Academy Award nomination for playing the Facebook founder in the 2010 film, confirmed he would not reprise the role in "The Social Reckoning." Instead, the part will go to actor Jeremy Strong.

When the "Today" show host, Craig Melvin, pressed him on the decision, Eisenberg deflected with humor, referencing a recent joke about the Louvre robbery being a publicity stunt for his upcoming movie "Now You See Me: Now You Don't."

"You know, I was in Paris, and I had some tools, and I figured there was a way to make a little, you know, kind of more of a statement at the Louvre," he quipped.

When Melvin pressed further, asking why he would decline such a major sequel, Eisenberg finally offered a thoughtful answer. He explained that his choice had nothing to do with the quality of the sequel, but rather with personal growth.

During a later appearance on "The Tonight Show," Eisenberg jokingly accused co-star Woody Harrelson of knowing a little too much about high-level heists, after the real-life Louvre robbery made headlines.

"It was really funny," Eisenberg told host Jimmy Fallon. "We were doing press yesterday … we were all joking around, 'Oh, yeah, it was us!' — and then Woody Harrelson came out with a very specific set of tools that he would use to do that."

Eisenberg recalled how the room fell silent as Harrelson rattled off his would-be heist gear. "We were all sitting there like, 'What is an acute grating saw? How do you know this stuff?'" he laughed.

Fallon tried to give Harrelson the benefit of the doubt, suggesting that his knowledge might have come from research for the movie. But Eisenberg wasn't so sure.

With his trademark dry humor, he shot back, "No, he knows it from maybe doing that."

Eisenberg later admitted that years of playing magician-turned-thief in the "Now You See Me" franchise might have warped his reaction to real-world crime.

Instead of shock, his first instinct when reading about the Louvre heist was one of almost professional admiration.

"I remember thinking like, 'Oh, they did a good job. Almost with the authority to evaluate how quick they were, which was very impressive," Eisenberg said.

The actor went on to explain that spending over a decade making movies about elaborate, Robin Hood-style thefts has definitely warped his sense of criminal morality.

He joked that his "second thought was even stupider," when he saw the news about the stolen diamonds, was that the culprits must be planning to give the loot to someone deserving, just like in the movies.

"They probably are not doing that, but that's just the way my mind works from doing these movies for 15 years," he said.

Eisenberg revealed that he's been "a little brainwashed" by the franchise's feel-good portrayal of heists.

"I think that anybody doing anything bad or stealing anything is ultimately doing it for a good reason, you know?" the actor admitted.

He is set to return to the big screen in "Now You See Me: Now You Don't," the third installment in the hit series, which is set to appear in theaters on November 14.
