Not everyone was a fan of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's appearance at Game 4 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not receive the best welcome from fans when they appeared on the stadium's Jumbotron on Tuesday, October 28. Some fans took it a step further by blaming the couple for the Dodgers' loss.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren't strangers to criticism, frequently sparking backlash since their decision to relocate to the U.S. and step down as senior royals. Their careers have also faced multiple hiccups, including the loss of five employees.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Get Booed At The Los Angeles Dodgers' Game

Harry and Meghan stepped out to support the Dodgers on October 28, rooting for the team while decked out in their signature colors. A video of their appearance was shared on TikTok, capturing the moment they appeared on the Jumbotron.
The Sussexes appeared taken aback as loud boos could be heard, but Meghan stayed professional with a smile on her face. On the other hand, Harry appeared unimpressed until he noticed his face on the Jumbotron and offered a bright smile.
Fans had mixed reactions to the couple's appearance, with some blaming them for the Dodgers' 6-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. "Dodgers got markled!" a critic lamented, with another claiming the Sussexes had brought "bad luck" to the team.
Critics Slam The Sussexes' Appearance At The World Series Game
The criticisms continued, with a critic labeling the game "The Meghan Show." Another displeased fan applauded the critics in the crowd, thanking them for booing the attention-seeking couple. "Love the booing. Well deserved," a TikToker quipped.
Someone slammed Meghan for smiling amid the boos, claiming she probably assumed people were cheering for her. The adverse reactions didn't stop there, with one conspiracy theorist alleging that the Sussexes were so desperate for attention they hired a private shutterbug for the game.
"Nice to hear the crowd booing them," a critic added, with a TikTok user noting the moment must have been "humiliating" for the proud couple. Despite the numerous hateful comments, some diehard fans proudly supported Harry and Meghan, thanking them for loving the Dodgers.

Harry and Meghan's appearance at Game 4 of the World Series between the Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays was more than their love for baseball. The Blast reported that they flaunted their enduring bond by enjoying a date at the game.
The lovebirds were photographed wearing matching Dodgers baseball caps for the event. They were decked out in the team's signature blue color, rocking similar white tops, dark pants, and blue sweaters. The MLB also shared a video of their interaction with fans before entering Dodger Stadium.
Harry and Meghan's baseball date followed their family's trip to a pumpkin patch, which the Duchess detailed on her Instagram page over the weekend. It appeared the pair were enjoying making memories rather than losing sleep over the loss of five employees.
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Booed Following Their Return To The UK

A year after their bombshell interview, Harry and Meghan returned to the UK to attend Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. Business Insider covered the story in 2022, reporting that they did not receive a warm welcome from the crowd outside St. Paul's Cathedral.
People reportedly booed the couple as they exited the cathedral after the Thanksgiving service. The situation inside wasn't any better, with reports claiming that Harry and Meghan could not communicate with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Their lack of contact between the two couples was unsurprising, given the rampant rumors of a rift between Harry and William following the 2021 interview. One of the allegations the Sussexes made was that Kate had made Meghan cry during the week leading up to her wedding.
The Former Senior Royals Raise Eyebrows For Losing Staff Members

The Dodgers' drama followed the abrupt exit of Harry and Meghan's Director of Communications, Emily Robinson, after working for four months. Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich found her exit shocking because people in her post don't quit suddenly without a reason.
"The optics are ghastly as it really enforces the negative image of chaotic brand control, at best, as well as Meghan's dwindling influence," Fordwich said. Before Robinson's exit, four other employees ended their working relationship with the Sussexes in June.
Besides their business hiccups, Harry and Meghan have faced backlash for their decision to step down as senior royals in 2020. They left their posts and relocated to the US, where they shared scathing allegations against the Royal Family in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
