Andy Cohen Opens Up About Love Life, Including Hooking Up With Bravo Cast Members

Andy Cohen is known for putting his guests in the hot seat on "Watch What Happens Live," but the tables were turned on him during his appearance on Alex Cooper's podcast "Call Her Daddy."

During the wide-ranging conversation, Andy Cohen opened up about his love life, including addressing the long-standing rumors about hooking up with Bravo stars.

Cooper didn't hold back when interviewing Cohen, executive producer of the wildly popular "Real Housewives" franchise.

During one part of the interview, Cooper asked the father of two a spicy question many fans have wondered: Has he ever messed around with a Bravo star?

Cohen was straight to the point with his answer, however, fiercely claiming that it had "never, never" happened.

Cohen, who has also faced intense legal battles with former "Real Housewives" stars, admitted hooking up with someone on the network could cause major workplace drama.

"I think that even I understand the rules of the game there," he said. "There have been a couple that that in my mind I've thought like, 'Well, that would be interesting.' But yeah, I think that would probably, especially at this point, be unwise."

Cohen also opened up about his experiences as a gay man on dating apps like Hinge, Tinder, and even the hookup app Grindr.

"I go on some dates," he said. "It's, you know, I have kids, obviously. And so dating has really changed."

He went on, "And I meet two kinds of people, people that I want to sleep with and people that I want to date."

Cohen even reflected on his time using Craigslist's "meet-up" feature, calling it "Grindr before Grindr," before sharing what exactly he's looking for in a partner.

"It's really about a vibe," Cohen shared about his preferences. "I mean, to date, I like ... strong, independent, smart, has their own thing going, handsome."

Aside from his relationships with Bravolebrities, Cohen also shared some intimate details about his friendship with rock singer John Mayer.

While most fans knew Cohen had formed a special bond with the "Last Train Home" performer, he revealed another side to their friendship: it's actually extremely "physical."

During dinner dates, Cohen admitted they "always sit on the same side of the booth," later calling it "our spot" where Mayer wraps "his arm around me."

Elsewhere during the conversation, Cohen boasted about the qualities he loves about Mayer and hopes to find in a romantic relationship of his own one day.

"If I could find a gay guy that was him, it would be magic," he said before sharing how "grateful" he is for "the love that we have."

Cohen, 57, also spoke briefly with Cooper about his recent body transformation, which has excited members of the Bravoverse.

He shared much of what was reported in a previous story from The Blast, in which he said he began "microdosing" a GLP-1 to help him achieve his fitness goals.

For those unfamiliar, GLP-1 agonists are medications known to regulate appetite, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Cohen said in September 2025 that he decided to be open about his use of the medication to avoid looking like a hypocrite in front of his audience.

“Given that for 20 years I have been asking people about their body regimens and that I've been pretty vocal about every time I go on a diet ... I do think it would be completely hypocritical not to share that I did this summer lose a good chunk of weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1 all summer,” he said.

“I feel so strongly that I can't be the one asking all the personal questions of, specifically, the Housewives. ‘How did you do it? What did you do to your face? How did you do the weight loss?’ And then be the guy who's suddenly lost [weight] but isn't mentioning it," he continued.

Using GLP-1 to lose 25 pounds helped Cohen pinpoint the changes he wanted to make in his life, such as addressing his "cravings" and his inconsistent gym routine.

"I am still drinking, but not crazy and perhaps the most importantly, I'm not snacking after the craving [I get] after I drink," he said.
