Ana de Armas Reportedly 'In A Funk' After Split From Tom Cruise: 'She Is Disappointed'

Ana de Armas is moving forward after ending her brief relationship with Tom Cruise, which seemingly led to the pause of their film "Deeper."

Despite the split, the actress is reportedly thriving after the moderate success of her movie "Ballerina" and her modeling work for Estée Lauder.

Sources claim the breakup was mutual, though Tom Cruise reportedly struggles to accept it and has been telling friends he ended things with Ana de Armas.

De Armas' friends claim the actress is "in a funk" after recently ending her nine-month relationship with Cruise. The production of their upcoming film "Deeper" has also been paused indefinitely.

"Ana thought this year would be very different, so she is disappointed," a source told Daily Mail. "But she knows it will get better and is plugging on. And she is still friends with Tom. She is not crying at home."

True to that, the brunette beauty was spotted in Los Angeles on Tuesday, taking a stroll with her fluffy white dog. Dressed casually in a black top, denim shorts, and Mary Jane flats, she accessorized with a Louis Vuitton crossbody bag.

Despite her recent breakup, de Armas has still had a remarkable year. Her action film "Ballerina" was a box-office hit, and she continues to be recognized as one of Hollywood's leading actresses, while maintaining high-profile modeling partnerships with brands like Estée Lauder.

De Armas' relationship with Cruise, 63, came to an end a few weeks ago, marking the conclusion of their nine-month romance.

"Tom and Ana had a good time together, but their time as a couple has run its course," a source told The Sun. "They are going to remain good friends, but they aren't dating anymore. They just realized they weren't going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates.

They continued, "The spark had gone between them, but they still love each other's company, and they've both been really adult about it. She's already been cast in his next film, so they will continue to work together."

The former couple was last seen publicly together in July, when they made their relationship official.

At the time, Cruise and de Armas appeared inseparable during a romantic weekend getaway to Woodstock, Vermont, where they were photographed walking hand in hand through the picturesque town.

"The more they got to know each other, the bigger the gifts became. There has been jewelry like gold bracelets and designer clothing, things like that, things every girl would love."

The source added that the most meaningful gift of all was the freedom Cruise offered de Armas.

"Probably the biggest gift he has given her is being able to go anywhere in the world at a moment's notice; not many people can do that," the source noted. "She loves to travel."

According to reports, the actor has been "shocked" by how things ended and is having a tough time coming to terms with the fact that de Armas didn't share his long-term vision.

A source told the National Enquirer that the "Mission Impossible" star has been telling friends he was the one who ended the relationship, claiming de Armas "wasn't up to his standards" and that he's now "looking for someone with more charisma and life experience."

"It's a complete 180 in terms of how he was talking about her just a few weeks ago," the insider shared. "When she could do no wrong and this ultimate dream gal who walked on water."

The source added that, in reality, Cruise didn't see the breakup coming and is still processing the fact that the "Blonde" actress chose to move on.
