Unlike their live performance, the video captured the studio version of the song, with Apple doing a little dance towards the end. Regarding her collaboration with Jade Street, the duo shed light on how it happened in an accompanying press release for the single.

According to Nylon, the indie rock duo said they wrote the song about a year ago, but it never felt complete until they played it for Apple. "Her voice instantly reframed the entire song and gave it a whole new identity," Jade Street raved, adding:

A year before Apple's debut performance, she made her debut into society at the Le Bal des Débutantes. The Blast shared that Chris marked the occasion alongside his daughter and ex-wife, even though it wasn't his usual rodeo.

The family reportedly received a personal invitation from the event's host and arrived decked in Valentino. Apple stole the spotlight from her famous parents in a custom-made dress that took the Italian fashion house 750 hours to create.
