Sydney Sweeney is a devout team natural, and that is that!
The actress tossed the plastic surgery allegations out the window, insisting that she is not a fan of them or those prickly needles around her gorgeous, delicate face.
Sydney Sweeney's body has been the subject of several discussions and controversies over the years, but she turned them all into the ultimate motivation for her new role in "Christy."
Sydney Sweeney Is Looking Forward To A Very Satisfying Aging Process

The actor dropped a few truths in her interview with Variety, discussing the possibility of ever getting work done on her face.
She trashed the rumors of a doctor being behind her new look, while reiterating that a needle and long hours on the operating table are the last things she wants in her life. She also expressed her lack of admiration for tattoos, adding that she will "age gracefully" for the rest of her life.
However, beyond the theories and speculations about her looks, Sweeney expressed genuine shock at how far people were willing to go in comparing her looks when she was younger to how they are now as an adult.
"It's really funny. I'll see things online like 'comparison pictures.' I'm like, 'I'm 12 in that photo. Of course, I'm going to look different. I have makeup on now and I'm 15 years older,'" Sweeney revealed in the interview.
The Media Personality Addressed A Long-Time Elephant In The Room

The actress also killed two birds with one stone, as she subtly addressed the outrage that trailed her American Eagle ad, stressing that, given the nature of her work, she often plays divisive characters. In her words:
"I think that a lot of people think they know me, but they don't. So when people think, 'Ah, she's a sex symbol,' or 'She's leaning into that,' I'm like, 'No, I just feel good and I'm doing it for myself and I feel strong.'"
She also spoke about her character preferences in movies, paying allegiance to her affinity for questionable figures. Sweeney described this act as carrying empathy for "stereotypically unlikeable" characters to make the public possibly fall in love with them.
Sydney Sweeney's Looks Came Under Fire From A USC Professor Last Year

Last year, producer Baum gave a scathing review of her then-blockbuster movie "Anyone But You," essentially berating her looks and acting. In a PEOPLE report, she slammed the actress during a podcast appearance with Janet Maslin, a New York Times film critic.
Baum added that she never quite figured out the hype around Sweeney, despite watching the movie, which was practically "unwatchable." She continued that she even spoke to the class about the movie and Sweeney in general, stating:
"I said to my class, 'Explain this girl to me. She's not pretty, and she can't act. Why is she so hot?' Nobody had an answer."
Baum then answered the question on the podcast, concluding that Sweeney was hired to feature in all these movies, not necessarily for talent but for her popularity.
The University of Southern California scholar retracted her statement a few days after it, emphasizing that it was against her nature to speak about an actor in that manner.
Sweeney's camp replied by slamming the producer for choosing to attack a fellow female producer rather than shine a light on them.
The 'White Lotus' Star Trashed Trolls' Hopes With Creative Content

All the words that had been said about the actress failed to stick, as he rounded up her 2024 with a message to her trolls. As reported by Teen Vogue, the 28-year-old turned the weird and offensive comments under her bikini picture into something inspirational.
Sweeney posted a video with no caption as a response to the commenters, and attached several screenshots of the terrible remarks, including their usernames, that had made fun of her body and her face.
Then she concluded the video with a montage of the intense training she underwent in preparation to play boxer Christy Martin. Sweeney flaunted the great muscles she had developed before the role and the apparent effort she had put in.
The reaction to her new clip had a much more positive vibe, as her fans and followers expressed excitement about her upcoming movie.
Sydney Sweeney Is Pulling All Stops For Her Role In Another Incredible Biopic

As shared by The Blast, the movie star expressed her eagerness to step right into the big shoes of Kim Novak for "Scandalous!" The actress had confessed to feeling a strong sense of likeness towards Novak, who navigated all the hurdles on her path in Hollywood with so much grace.
The new project is reportedly directed by Colman Domingo, who will explore the life of Novak and how she broke the rules in a very conservative and prejudiced Hollywood in the 50s. Sweeney will certainly give another enviable level of dedication to this project, like she did with "Christy."
She described her role in Christy as one that demanded a lot of physical discipline and emotional depth, with her personal trainer helping her conquer any self-doubt.
Will Sydney Sweeney stick to her resolve as the years advance?
