Diddy's Prison Release Spirals Into A Mystery With New Prediction

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has announced the expected date of Diddy's release from prison!
The update in the disgraced rapper's case comes weeks after his 50-month prison sentence was handed down on October 3. He is currently incarcerated at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he has been since his September 2024 arrest.
Diddy faced a highly publicized federal criminal trial for multiple sex crimes, but was only found guilty on charges related to prostitution. His fall from grace began when his former partner, Cassie Ventura, filed a sexual assault and abuse lawsuit in late 2023.
The Feds Reveal Diddy's Expected Release Date From Prison

According to new reports, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has updated its website to reflect Diddy's expected release date from prison after serving his 50-month sentence. The announcement predicted the rapper would regain his freedom on May 8, 2028.
Although the BOP shared a potential release date for Diddy, the outcome wasn't set in stone. The music mogul could regain his freedom sooner rather than later, based on several factors, including a shortened time for good behavior.
Additionally, TMZ reported that the release date did not take into account the possibility of a pardon from Donald Trump. Release date aside, the BOP had yet to decide where Diddy would serve his 50-month prison sentence.
He has appealed to be transferred to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, and the judge reportedly supported his incarceration in a facility close to New York City.
Does Donald Trump Want To Pardon The Rapper Or Not?

Days before Diddy's potential release date was announced, The Blast shared that the White House called BS on the presidential pardon narrative. The speculations began after sources claimed Trump was considering granting Diddy clemency.
These sources alleged that Diddy might be released sooner than people expected because Trump seemed eager to grant him a pardon. They even claimed White House staff were against the president's decision; however, Trump would do whatever he wanted.
"The president, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations," a White House spokesperson said about the rumors. They shut down the story as false speculations, claiming there was "zero truth" to the pardon allegations.
The Bad Boy Records Founder's Pal Alleges He Faced A Life-Threatening Situation

Amid the clemency drama, Diddy's close pal, Charlucci Finney, came out to claim his longtime friend wasn't safe behind bars. The Blast covered the story, reporting that he alleged Diddy woke up to a knife pressed against his neck.
Finney claimed an inmate had attempted to threaten Diddy with a makeshift blade; however, he was unsure of how his pal made it out of the situation safely. "I don't know whether he fought him off or the guards came, I just know that it happened," Finney said.
The alleged incident matched the statements shared by Diddy's attorney during his federal case. At the time, Brian Steel told the court that an inmate wielding a shiv was stopped by a guard while attempting to attack the rapper to gain prison clout.
The Entertainer's Friend Reflected On His Federal Case

Finney stressed that he was worried for Diddy's safety because inmates were prone to enacting "prison justice" on those convicted of sex-related crimes. He added that he wasn't privy to his pal's dark past because Diddy hid it a little too well.
"Around us, Sean was a lovable caregiver, a father, brother, a best friend," Finney stressed. He argued that the jury did not convict Diddy on the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering because they knew he wasn't guilty.
Finney defended Diddy, claiming his situation involved "a guy and his girlfriend freaking off. That's it. Period." Regarding his pal's safety behind bars, Diddy's lawyers requested his transfer to FCI Fort Dix, noting that he would be closer to family and could complete his rehabilitation.
Diddy Refused To Accept His 50-Month Prison Sentence

Although Diddy requested to serve his prison sentence in New Jersey, his demand did not mean he had accepted the outcome. The Blast reported that Diddy had moved to appeal his 50-month prison sentence, weeks after the sentencing.
Attorney Alexandra A.E. Shapiro was reportedly leading the appeal as Diddy's counsel after serving as one of the lawyers on his team during the federal case. Before the appeal filing, the rapper's other attorney, Marc Agnifilo, had revealed their plans.
Shortly after Diddy's October 3 sentencing, Agnifilo told reporters that he believed they had a "strong basis to appeal." He implied that Judge Arun Subramanian's sentencing was influenced by bias, claiming the legal umpire had acted like a 13th juror.
