Foxx noted that the teenager has dreamed of organizing something that big since she was little, and it was a joy to finally see it happen.

In December 2024, The Blast reported that the Oscar winner was hit in the face with a glass during his birthday dinner at the popular Beverly Hills restaurant Mr. Chow.

The incident reportedly left him needing stitches.

A representative for the actor shared a statement at the time, revealing, “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

At the time, police were called to the scene and initially investigated the incident as an “assault with a deadly weapon.”

However, after investigating the situation, the Beverly Hills Police Department ruled it a “physical altercation between parties” and confirmed that no arrests were made.

The chaos at the birthday dinner came a few days after Foxx’s own inspiring return to the spotlight following his life-threatening medical emergency in April 2023.

The actor revealed that he suffered a stroke and a “brain bleed” that almost ended his life.

Foxx shared his experience in his Netflix comedy special “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…,” where he opened up about his recovery.

He explained that he was hit by a “bad headache” and asked a friend for an aspirin, but before he could take it, he passed out.

Following the incident, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, sensed something was wrong and drove him to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

There, Foxx said he was told he was having a brain bleed that led to a stroke and needed to undergo surgery to save his life.

The 57-year-old described waking up weeks later in a wheelchair and being unable to walk, saying, “Jamie Foxx don’t get strokes… It’s a bad joke.”

He said the cause remains “a mystery,” as nobody knew exactly what happened to him.
