The 28-year-old went for the big chop during her appearance on the red carpet for "Christy" movie premiere in Los Angeles. Sweeney opted for a pink halter-neck dress with a deep neckline, showcasing her ample cleavage.

The lacy dress came with a matching pink belt, and her new haircut framed her oval face with the blonde color complementing the color of her dress. Sweeney kept it very simple in the accessory area, rocking two simple diamond rings on both hands.

The actress also chose a rosy blush to complement her nude-glossy lip while attending the 2025 AFI Fest screening of the film. The highly anticipated movie is expected to start showing in theaters in November.

The Movie Star Made A Drastic Change For Her Role In 'Christy'

Sweeney is never one to give her all for any project. She made a shocking revelation: she gained about 30 pounds to fit the character of the famed female boxer Christy Martin.

"I had a nutritionist work with me as well as a weight trainer and a boxing trainer," she explained at the Toronto Film Festival last month. The actress revealed that she increased her calorie intake and supplemented her diet with numerous protein shakes and supplements.

Sweeney confessed that she basically ate everything in sight to achieve her weight goals. "I ate a lot of Smuckers, a lot of PB and J sandwiches, milkshakes. I was constantly burning it all off at the same time. So keeping it all up was quite a challenge," she explained.

Sydney Sweeney's New Movie Placed On An Upward Trajectory By Critics

The model may finally bounce back from her recent underwhelming performances at the cinema with "Christy." As stated by The Blast, the movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, playing for a select audience.

Insiders confirmed that the movie will definitely gain and sustain audience attention after the studio in charge of the biopic, Black Bear Pictures, ran an audience test.

The team reportedly received excellent feedback from the test, as viewers were utterly captivated by Sweeney's apt portrayal of the boxing heroine.

The movie has now seemingly placed the 28-year-old in the conversation as a possible Oscar winner. Sweeney's redemption comes after her two movies, "Eden" and "Americana," flopped at the box office.

Both movies reportedly failed to break even, with budgets running into the tens of millions, despite their impressive casts.

The 28-Year-Old Left Christy Martin's Chair With Valuable Life Lessons

The model had a very fulfilling journey, living the life of a boxer through the lens of cameras and the director's yells. Sweeney stated that the script instantly inspired her and took her back to her kickboxing days.

In her words: "It was one of my favorite things to do. I was the only girl at the dojo, and I loved it. Then I booked Euphoria, and I wasn't allowed to do that anymore. So I was always kind of looking for something to be able to connect back to that physical side of myself."

Aside from reigniting her love for boxing, Sweeney also learned how strong she needed to be for her career and personal life through Martin's journey. Martin recorded 49 wins, 7 losses, and 3 draws throughout her career, with 31 wins by knockout.

She also survived a stabbing and shooting attempt by her ex-husband, James V. Martin, in 2017. The truncated murder attempt led to the imprisonment of her former husband for 25 years.

The Blast reported that August brought the strongest wind of her career and reputation after she featured in an ad for American Eagle, a designer brand.

In the commercial, Sweeney creatively replaced the word "genes" with "jeans," declaring: "Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My jeans are blue."

Well, Sweeney's attempt to tap into her literary side practically backfired as she earned racist and Nazi remarks from critics. Commentators attacked her for promoting white supremacist norms and predicted her fall from grace.

Well, the universe came with a very ironic storyline for the actress and the critics a few months later when she got double for her troubles by clinching the Achievement in Acting Award for her role in "Christy."

Sydney Sweeney is totally winning hearts with these daring looks!
