Katy Perry Going Official With Justin Trudeau On 41st Birthday Has Many Thinking She 'Moved On Quick'

It's official, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are an item!

The duo made their first public outing as a couple on the singer’s 41st birthday on Saturday, and they were spotted looking happy and into each other. 

Perry and Trudeau first sparked dating rumors after they were spotted having dinner in Montreal. They have also been spotted together on many other occasions. However, neither of them has come forward to speak publicly on the nature of their relationship. 

Perry and Trudeau stepped out for date night in Paris, France, on October 25. They attended a Cabaret show at the Crazy Horse, and they were spotted leaving the theatre hand in hand after the show concluded. 

The singer received a rose from a fan outside the theatre and smiled as they wished her a happy birthday. Still hand in hand, Perry and Trudeau walked to a vehicle together as paparazzi snapped photos.

For the special outing, the “California Gurls” singer donned a red floor-length dress, while the politician opted for an all-black look as seen in photos obtained by TMZ.

Perry is fresh off a separation from her ex-fiance, Orlando Bloom, whom she parted with in June this year. On the other hand, it has been two years since the former Prime Minister of Canada called it quits on his 18-year marriage to Sophie Gregoire.

Fans online were quick to react to the news of Perry and Trudeau’s date night in Paris, with some praising the singer for moving on quickly from her nine-year relationship with Bloom. 

One fan wrote, “Look, Katy moved the hell on quick and fast, and I don’t blame her. She was in a NINE-YEAR relationship with Orlando Bloom, engaged for SIX with no marriage plans in the foreseeable future, nothing from that relationship but a baby. So much time wasted, but glad she moved on.”

News of Perry and Trudeau’s Paris date night comes shortly after close sources confirmed that the singer is heavily invested in her new romance with the former Prime Minister.

According to an insider, as The Blast reported, the 41-year-old singer’s connection with the politician is “going really well.” The insider also noted that Perry is elated about her new love interest and is ”really into it. She’s very happy.”

“She's trying to keep it low-key, and they've spent a lot of private time together. She's not looking to publicize this relationship. Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn't met a lot of her friends yet,” the source added. 

While Trudeau and Perry are now going strong, it took a lot of persistence from the Canadian politician to get them to where they are now. 

According to The Blast, an insider claimed the 53-year-old political figure was “persistent” in pursuing the songwriter. Insiders revealed that he won her over by being present, showing up, and “wanting to be with her.” 

The duo kept in touch over text messages until they finally met in person after months of constant communication. 

What started as a text message chain between Trudeau and Perry has blossomed into a beautiful connection, and even astrology readings suggest their bond is indeed deep. 

The Blast reported that, according to astrologer Polina Arutiunian, the singer and the politician’s natal charts indicate a fiery, magnetic connection. Arutiunian explained that Perry’s charts show that she values “depth of feeling and devotion,” while Trudeau’s is “associated with authority and structure.” 

The astrologer further revealed that their relationship could be strong because they both understand how to effectively handle crises when they arise. However, their conflicts may also “look too turbulent” to outside observers.
