Bradley Cooper's 'New Face' Raises Eyebrows As Expert Weighs In On His Possible Cosmetic Enhancements

Bradley Cooper's new ageless look has set tongues wagging online.

The actor had fans doing a double-take after his recent public appearance promoting his new film, as the 50-year-old looked young for his age.

A cosmetic surgery expert has now weighed in, offering insight into what subtle enhancements Bradley Cooper may have undergone to achieve his age-defying appearance.

Earlier this month, Bradley Cooper became the talk of his fans after appearing on the promo trail for his latest film, “Is This Thing On?, where many noticed he looked “different.”

Speculation quickly spread that the actor may have recently undergone cosmetic procedures, a topic now addressed by plastic surgeon Gerard Lambe.

“In my opinion, there's a few things he's had done, including having his jaw tightened, and a lower facelift,” the doctor said, per the Daily Mail.

Lambe went on to suggest that if Bradley Cooper did have work done, the surgeon likely used a pioneering technique that lifts the fibrous layer beneath the skin and facial fat, known as the Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System (SMAS).

This approach, often referred to as an SMAS facelift, is described by plasticsurgeons.com as one of the most common types of facelifts performed on older individuals.

In his conversation with the news outlet, Lambe explained that there are several techniques for performing the procedure before sharing which method he personally favors.

“If you pull on the skin, it just sags back down, but beneath the skin, there's a fat layer and a fibrousy, tough layer, and underneath that are the nerves that move the face,” he explained.

The expert continued, “There's different approaches, but I tend to grab it and stitch the SMAS to itself, and that gives volume and lift and it holds very well.”

Unlike his approach, Lambe believes Cooper had his “SMAS pulled up behind his ear, and that's tightened his jawline and tightened his neck.”

Lambe shed more light on how this particular approach contributed to Cooper's ageless look.

“A facelift restores the heart shape of the face. When you get jowls, you go a little bit square in the lower third of the face,” the surgeon further remarked.

He added, “Restoring that heart shape provides a lot of youth, and that is done through tightening the SMAS.”

Since stepping out to promote his new film, fans have had a lot to say about Cooper's appearance, with some saying "he looks so different" and others comparing him to iconic singer Barry Manilow.

On X, a person wrote, "What the hell has happened to BradleyCooper? Whatever work he has had done to his face has made him look more like Barry Manilow."

"Bradley Cooper just soft-launched a new face," another said, while a third asked, "His plastic surgeon hates him?"

Speaking further about Cooper’s appearance, Lambe noted that the actor might also have undergone laser or chemical resurfacing treatments.

This procedure reportedly removes the top layer of skin to clear off fine lines and wrinkles caused by aging.

Lambe believes that Cooper’s surgeon likely added fat to “replace the volume,” although he isn’t entirely sure this is the case.

“As we age, we deflate in that area, and it drops. It's not just the gravity. It's the deflation as well,” he added. “But that's why we often put a bit of fat in the middle of the face to plump it up.”

One more possible procedure Lambe thinks Cooper had is an upper blepharoplasty, often described as a subtle brow lift.

“His eyes do look a bit wider and more open,” Lambe noted as he made the conclusion.

At the moment, Cooper is in a relationship with Gigi Hadid, and the pair have been dating for the past two years.

As for their future together, a source reported in August that the couple does not have divided opinions on what they want from their relationship.

“They've talked about blending their lives more, but they're not pushing it,” a source shared at the time, per People Magazine. “They're on the same page about what they want long-term, and they're letting it happen naturally.”

“Even with work, they always make time for each other. They like keeping things simple. Sometimes it's nights cooking at home, other times it's just spending time with the kids or going out with close friends,” the source added about the couple’s relationship.

That same August, the duo was spotted jetting off together for a getaway to an undisclosed destination.

In October, the couple was seen out and about once again, around the time they celebrated their two-year anniversary.
