Katy Perry Reportedly 'Very Happy' In Her Romance With Justin Trudeau: 'She's Really Into It'

Katy Perry's romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is reportedly "going really well."

The new couple hinted at their relationship after they were spotted dining together in July and were later seen kissing and hugging on the singer's yacht.

The duo's romance follows Katy Perry's split from Hollywood star Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares daughter Daisy.

According to insiders,  Perry is finding new joy in an unexpected romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The pop star, who turned 41 this weekend, has been quietly seeing the 53-year-old politician, and their connection is said to be "going really well."

An insider told Us Weekly that Perry is "very happy" and prefers to keep things private for now, adding that the two have been spending plenty of time together away from the public eye.

"Katy is really into it. She's very happy," the insider said. "She's trying to keep it low-key, and they've spent a lot of private time together. She's not looking to publicize this relationship."

"Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn't met a lot of her friends yet," the source added.

Rumors of a connection between Perry and Trudeau first surfaced in July, when they were spotted dining together in Montreal.

At the time, it was rumored that the pair were just friendly with each other and had no intention of getting into a relationship.

However, speculation intensified earlier this month after the Daily Mail published photos of Perry and Trudeau looking relaxed and affectionate aboard a yacht.

In the images, the singer and politician held each other in a tight embrace while kissing, with Perry rocking a black swimsuit and Trudeau shirtless in jeans.

In September, multiple sources told Us Weekly that Perry and Trudeau had been quietly seeing each other for some time.

"They've decided to be much more private about it," one insider revealed. "They are still speaking and are very interested in each other."

Another source described the relationship as "not serious" for now, citing Perry's demanding "Lifetime" tour schedule.

"Justin has made plans to see her when she has downtime in a few weeks when she gets back from her tour in Brazil," the insider added. "Katy is taking it day by day but is very open to dating."

Perry's "Lifetimes" tour began in Mexico City in April and runs through December 7. During her London concert on October 13 at the O2 Arena, the "Roar" hitmaker made a cheeky remark that many fans interpreted as a playful nod to her rumored new romance.

"London, England, you're like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?" Perry joked, according to reports. "No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time … but not anymore."

Perry and Trudeau's budding romance comes months after Perry's split from actor Orlando Bloom earlier this year.

The former couple, who share a five-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove, ended their engagement in July following months of speculation about their relationship.

During the summer, representatives for Perry and Bloom confirmed that the former couple had been gradually redefining their relationship to prioritize co-parenting.

"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect," they said.

A separate insider told Us Weekly that "Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,' while adding that the separation was not 'contentious."

Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The pair shares three children.

As Perry navigates her new chapter, Bloom appears to be cherishing fatherhood. The "Lord of the Rings" star recently shared a sweet beach photo of himself and Daisy on Instagram Stories on October 23.

In the image, Daisy, now five, balanced on her father's shoulders as he stood shirtless in his swim trunks, the two framed perfectly against a stunning sunset. A curly-haired dog sat nearby in the sand.

Fans couldn't help but notice how much Daisy has grown, a detail that's sparked plenty of comments online.

It's not the first time her growth spurt has caught attention; in August, Perry offered a rare glimpse of her daughter lounging on the bench of a stationary spacecraft labeled "United States."
