'Yellowstone' Star Ryan Bingham Files For Divorce From Wife Of 12 Years

Country singer and actor Ryan Bingham has just filed for divorce from his wife, Anna Axster, after 12 years of marriage.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Bingham filed for dissolution of marriage on June 29, 2021. The star is currently well-known for his character on the hit television show 'Yellowstone' starring Kevin Costner, where he plays a convict named 'Walker' who gets into all sorts of problems while working on the Costner's ranch.

According to reports, the actor and singer married his wife Anna in 2009, and the couple shares three children. Bingham is also a well-known musician whose music has been featured on the show. His wife directed several of his music videos as well.

It's unclear if the actor and his wife are sharing joint custody of their children, or if he has filed for sole custody.

Interestingly, Bingham announced during a performance in Austin, Texas in March of 2015, that his wife and he were expecting their first child. His hit song, "Broken Heart Tattoo" is a reflection of what he would like to say to his unborn child. Tragically, according to Wikipedia, his mother drank herself to death and his father committed suicide.

The singer has enjoyed massive success in the music industry in the past, including performing two songs for the soundtrack of the movie 'Crazy Heart.' The song 'The Weary Kind' won Bingham an Academy Award and a Golden Globe award for Best Original Song, along with a Grammy award for "Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.

Anna Axter is well-known in the Indie film community and even organized a Western Music Festival in Texas which launched in 2019. The couple also owns a record label together, Axster Bingham Records. 

The 'Yellowstone' star spoke very highly of his wife and family during a recent interview, saying he "felt whole" now that he was settled down. "Having children will do that for you. When I met my wife we were both vagabonds, just roaming around the country," he said. Adding, "Then we got a place in LA, and it was the first time I ever had my name on a lease. I had an address! That was big to me."

He continued, "When we got the keys and went inside, I just cried. I felt secure, finally.”

As we reported, it's unclear what issues were going on inside of the couple's marriage, and it's unclear if they are fighting over custody of their children. According to reports, the family lives in the Los Angeles area.
