Although her new movie failed to impress critics and audiences alike, her fit figure still has fans tuning in for more. Gal Gadot Talks ‘Snow White’ Box Office Failure

Although she starred as the Evil Queen in the Disney live-action adaptation of “Snow White,” the movie did not perform well at the box office. Amid the controversy surrounding the Seven Dwarves, there was also a lot of political pressure between the two stars.

Rachel Zegler, who played the titular Disney Princess, was outspoken in her support for Palestine ahead of the premiere. Gal, meanwhile, was born in Israel and was a combat fitness instructor in the Israel Defense Forces.

According to Variety, Gal made an appearance on “The A Talks,” an Israeli TV show, in order to talk about why the movie failed. According to her, the political pressure led to the movie’s downfall.

Gal Spoke In Hebrew During The Interview

"There's pressure on celebrities to speak against Israel," she said, according to a translation published by Variety, as the actress was speaking in Hebrew at the time. "And, you know, it happened. I can always explain and try to give context about what's happening here. And I always do that.”

“But in the end, people make their own decisions," she added. "And I was disappointed that the movie was incredibly affected by all of that and that it didn't do well at the box office. But that's how it goes. You win some, you lose some."

Gal Describes The Box Office Failure Feeling ‘Very Personal’

In August, she took to her Instagram Stories in order to address the controversy. At the time, she wrote, "When the film came out, I felt that those who are against Israel criticized me in a very personal, almost visceral way. They saw me first and foremost as an Israeli, not as an actress. That's the perspective I spoke from when I answered the question."

However, she went on to say, "Of course, the film didn't fail solely because of external pressures. There are many factors that determine why a film succeeds or fails, and success is never guaranteed." Even though the movie didn't do well, it sounds like she is taking things in stride!
