Teri Hatcher recently got candid about her sex life, revealing she lost her virginity in her parents' waterbed without protection.
The "Desperate Housewives" star explained that she was naive about sex and "didn't know what a condom was," going further to add that her sexual history is full of "errors."
Teri Hatcher previously cried out about how men are not "lining up" to date her, saying she would rather spend time learning French on her phone and enjoying the company of her cat.
Teri Hatcher Lost Her Virginity Without Protection In Her Parents' Waterbed

Hatcher made an NSFW confession about her bedroom escapades, revealing that she lost her virginity without using protection.
During a recent episode of her "Desperately Devoted" podcast, the 60-year-old actress not only revealed that she didn't know much about sex at the time, but that her first time doing the deed happened on her parents' waterbed.
The star, who hosts the podcast with her real-life daughter Emerson Tenney, and "Desperate Housewives" on-screen daughter, Andrea Bowen, admitted that she "didn't know what a condom was" at the time, nor did she know what it looked like, even though she'd learned about it in school.
"I think the first time I was going to have sex [was] as a high school student in my parents' house in their waterbed," she said.
The actress recalled, "So I was looking in my parents' drawers to see if there was anything, and still to this day, I've never told this story to anyone."
The Actress Said Her Sexual History Is 'Filled With Error'

The "Tomorrow Never Dies" actress was in high school at this point, but seemed to have had little to no sexual health education, as she confessed she didn't know what a condom was, nor what to do with one.
"I had it in my head that maybe you put it over the tip of the p-nis to keep [it from coming out]. This is how inexperienced I was going into having sex," she said, per People Magazine.
Hatcher then said she found something that looked like a "bandaid," but was thicker than a bandaid, adding that it was "three or four inches long" and "came in plastic," like "you would unwrap it."
However, she chose not to use the bandaid-like item, thereby ditching protection for her first sexual encounter.
"I didn't get a condom, so I didn't use one," Hatcher stated, reflecting on the profound risk she took. "I just know that I'm lucky I got out alive. I'm lucky I'm here today to talk about any of it."
The experience seemingly set the tone for her subsequent sex romantic life, as she described her sexual history as one "filled with error."
Teri Hatcher's Daughter Grew Up In A 'Sex Positive' Home

Unlike her mom, Hatcher's daughter, Emerson, whom she shares with ex-husband Jon Tenney, seems quite knowledgeable about sex and everything in between.
During the show, Bowen asked her if she grew up in a household that talked openly about sex, to which she stated her upbringing was generally "sex positive."
"It didn't attach a lot of shame. Even when you think about parents who are uncomfortable sitting through a sex scene in a movie with their kids," she said.
Emerson continued, "I feel like I always felt slightly more like that wasn't something that was horrible or abnormal or like you couldn't do if that came up in a movie or something."
The Actress's Daughter Says She Lived In A 'Naked Positive House' With Her Mom

Besides growing up in a sex positive environment, Hatcher's daughter also got very comfortable with nudity early on.
The 27-year-old described living in such a "naked positive house" that she moved around nude, and Hatcher even came up with a song about it, which she still knows the lyrics to.
According to Emmerson, during her childhood, she was very aware of specific sexual topics and terms that some parents might consider taboo for their kids.
She said, "I think that level of openness just around [the] body and asking questions of like, 'What is a v-gina? What is a p-nis?' I feel like those things were always talked about."
Teri Hatcher Doesn't Date Much Anymore

It comes almost a year after Hatcher revealed that her dating life had seemingly died down, and she doesn't have men "lining up" to go out with her.
At the time, she appeared on "Sherri" with host Sherri Shepherd, where she said things have quieted down in her romantic life and that she's okay learning French on Duolingo and hanging out with her cat, per People Magazine.
"You know when we used to talk about the men we wanted to get with, and now our conversation is, 'I need you to be the guardian if something happens to me in my last will and testament,'" Shepherd quipped.
Hatcher replied, "Okay, so my thing on that — people would say, 'Are you dating?' and I'd say, 'Well I don't date much anymore because I used to date, and you'd look across the table at the guy and you'd think, 'Okay, I wonder if we're gonna end up in bed together,' and now I look across the table and I just think: when am I gonna have to change this guy's diapers?"
"It's just not that fun anymore," she added.
