Two years after surviving a near-fatal snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner is opening up about how far he has come since the ordeal.
The Marvel alum shared in a new interview that he's now "much stronger" and "happier" after initially questioning his "ability to be able to do fiction" in the wake of the accident.
Jeremy Renner is set to return as Mike McLusky in the fourth installment of "Mayor of Kingstown," the Paramount+ hit series, which debuts later this month.
Jeremy Renner Gives A Health Update After His Snowplow Accident

In a recent interview ahead of his return in the "Mayor of Kingstown," Jeremy Renner got candid about the toll of his 2023 snowplow accident.
The actor, who is set to reprise his role in "Mayor of Kingstown," noted that filming season three was quite more difficult than the upcoming season four, as he was still reeling from the effects of the accident at the time.
"Season 3 was the one where I was pretty affected. That was really a year off the incident," Renner revealed, per the New York Post.
According to previous reports, the actor suffered chest trauma and orthopedic injuries from the accident and was only able to return home after undergoing two surgeries.
Through physical therapy and other health measures, Renner now appears fully recovered, as he hinted during his interview.
"I'm much stronger, much clearer, happier, more awake and attentive," the actor told the outlet.
The Actor Began To Question His Acting Abilities

Although Renner was surrounded by the love and support of his family during and after the accident, within him, he faced a deep internal struggle.
According to the actor, the physical and emotional toll of the incident had made him question his "ability to do fiction" again. It wasn't until filming for season four of his action drama series that he began to feel like himself once more.
"This season, it was a lot more enjoyable," said the actor, whose character is the Mayor of the fictional town the series is set in. "I found a voice to get back into entertainment, which was so far away from my life, prior to that."
The "Hawkeye" star further remarked, "I don't know if I've gotten any more insight because of what I had been through, but at least I'm happy enough to – and I'm blessed enough to – still continue doing what I love to do."
All About Jeremy Renner's Snowplow Accident

Renner's near-fatal accident occurred on New Year's Day in 2023, just outside his mansion near Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The actor was outside, trying to help tow a family member's vehicle that had been caught in the snow.
At first, the towing process was going smoothly until Renner exited the snowplow to check on the family member. The 14,330-pound snowplow kept moving, prompting Renner to try to jump back in to stop the vehicle, but its massive weight instantly crushed him.
He was quickly airlifted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment after suffering severe chest injuries and multiple broken bones. On January 2, doctors performed chest surgery and inserted metal pins in his legs to help stabilize the fractures.
The Actor Faced Difficulty Performing Basic Daily Tasks While Recovering

During the recovery process, Renner faced challenges even with the most basic daily tasks and personal care routines.
"What a f-cking disaster, dude," he recalled during an interview with Men's Health, per the New York Post. "Showering, going to the bathroom — everything was a disaster."
He added, "They give you medications so you don't go to the bathroom, so you get constipated. And you pee in a jar. It was awful. That's when you know things aren't going great — you're peeing in a plastic jug. It took me 17 minutes to get out of bed."

He continued, "I send out my love, respect, and gratitude for the army of people that it took to put me back together again. I literally owe you my life."
