Kim Saira, the Tik Toker who started a Change.org petition to have James Corden end his "Spill Your Guts" segment is finding out canceling can be a two-way street. In a recent interview with TMZ Saira claimed that she was getting all sorts of threats on social media. Also, she's had a rough go with her own social media pages. As people have started a push to cancel her! Still, she remains determined to press on and make sure that her "demands" are met!
What Was The Issue Again?

A couple of weeks back Kim Saira started a petition on Change.org to have James Corden cancel or adjust his "Spill Your Guts" segment. According to Saira the bit was offensive to Asians. She feels that a lot of the food that is featured on the bit essentially labeled "disgusting to eat" is food that Asians eat on a daily basis. Therefore the segment on the Late Late Show was giving some of this Asian food a bad rep. As of Tuesday morning, more than 45 thousand people agreed with her.
James Corden Has Addressed The Issue
The petition gained enough traction to the point where it did get to James Corden. He went on the Howard Stern Show and was directly asked about the fuss that the petition had made. Corden did not shy away from the topic. Instead, he mentioned,
“We heard that story, and the next time we do that bit we absolutely won’t involve or use any of those foods,”
For Saira though that isn't enough! The petition on Change.org actually requests that Corden donate money to local Asian American organizations, and change the bit or remove it entirely. Saira also wants a formal apology. None of these things have happened yet!

Some Of The Threats Made Against Her

Other news outlets had claimed that Saira's Instagram account had been banned because of the number of people that had reported it after the petition went viral. At the time of writing this article, her page is up and running. The comment section on her posts about the petition is all over the place. Some people are praising her for her stance while others are ridiculing her. One of those comments ridiculing her reads,
"You’re an idiot. People can’t have opinions anymore these days. Everyone is offended by everything!! Sad society."
Gathering A To Promote The Petition

A lot of "social warriors" these days do all of their work through the internet. With that in mind, it's at least a bit commendable that Saira has gone all-in with this petition. She had a group of people go out onto the streets and protest the segment. The group made it to the CBS offices.
From what can be seen from the pictures on her Instagram page it has to be said that the turnout was rather low. Other than referencing the controversy on Howard Stern it's not clear whether Corden will take any further steps.
