Ireland Baldwin is the only child of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger. Through her father's second marriage to Hilaria Baldwin, she has seven younger half-siblings. The youngest of the group, Ilaria, is similar in age to Ireland's daughter, Holland.

Hilaria's birthday tribute came a day after Ireland called out her toxic family members in a scathing Instagram post. The Blast covered the story, reporting that she would sever the relationships that no longer serve her ahead of her 30th birthday.

“I move into 30 with a lot less weight on my shoulders. This weight that was brought on by the need to continue to carry my narcissistic, unreliable, addict family members, who I thought I needed in my life,” Ireland wrote. However, she did not mention the names of these toxic relatives.

Ireland explained that, as an only child, she grew up without siblings to rely on, and the loneliness led her to believe she needed to win over certain people in her family.
