Tyra Banks has faced recurring backlash since 2020 after clips from her former competition show, "America's Next Top Model," went viral. Since then, the supermodel has spoken candidly about the show and attempted to take accountability for moments that missed the mark. However, her statements haven't satisfied all former contestants, specifically Eugena Washington. The Cycle 7 cast member recently slammed Banks in a new TikTok, relishing in the "Life Size" actress' supposed downfall, but based on the reaction to her video, Washington may be the only one taking pride in Tyra Banks' recent controversies.

Former 'ANTM' Cast Member Says She's Enjoying Tyra Banks' 'Flop Era'

Washington, 41, shared a recent clip of herself being "honest" with her followers about how much she was "enjoying" seeing Banks struggle over the past few years.

"Can I be honest? As an ANTM alum, I enjoy watching this flop era of Tyra," she said. "I enjoy watching her flop. I enjoy watching her business not do well. I enjoy it being a f-ck show."

And she didn't stop there. Washington said she enjoys "seeing her trying to come back, but it just looks a f-cking mess."

Washington went on, adding that Banks "deserves" to be in her "flop era," calling it "fantastic karma for her."

According to Washington, Banks's alleged inability to "apologize is what's gonna keep her failing."

She claimed that a "real, genuine, honest person" would apologize explicitly rather than imply that a TV show was responsible for harmful behavior.

"The fact that she never apologized for the damage she caused so many people and we're all supposed to be afraid. It's really fun to watch her flop. That's all," Washington said.

After Washington's video was shared on Instagram, users immediately chimed in, slamming the former reality star for taking personal digs at the TV host.

"This is very mean-spirited," someone wrote. "I understand 'ANTM' was poorly handled, but wishing bad on anyone is wild. And it was 20 years ago, shawty gotta move on."

"You're sitting on a sidewalk making TikToks and she's still ... TYRA BANKS," another user wrote.

"Seeing a person's downfall shouldn't be a flex, but hey, everyone moves different," a third commenter wrote, while a fourth shared, "I don't care what someone has done to be, I don't enjoy watching anyone flop."

Several other users shared similar sentiments, with one saying, "You're not supposed to want to see the downfall of those who did you wrong. That just shows how much work you need to do within."

Tyra Banks Acknowledged The Harm 'ANTM' Caused Some Of The Contestants

According to a previous report from The Blast, Banks opened up in March 2025 about some of the initial pushback she received when she created "America's Next Top Model."

“To show different beauties at a time when the world was like, ‘What? You casting that? And what? Was it that?’ A time when people in the fashion industry were telling me, ‘You putting the girls from the hood on your show?’ I was like, ‘Why can the girl from the trailer park become a supermodel, but the girl that’s chillin’ in the park in the hood can’t?’ And we fought, and we struggled, and we made it happen," she said.

The former "Dancing with the Stars" host admitted that she and the rest of the cast and crew didn't always "get it right," adding that she said "some dumb s-t."

However, Banks didn't shy away from the criticism. "... I refuse to have my legacy be about some stuff linked together on the internet when there were 24 [seasons] of changing the world," she said.

"We all evolve. We all get better together. And I am so excited that I, and so many of us, have opened that door for others to follow."

And while Washington is still holding on to some of the pain that came from her experience on "America's Next Top Model," some other contestants have opened up about moving on.

Yaya DaCosta got real about running into the supermodel backstage at an event and being "excited" to see her. She later revealed that the pair had an emotional experience.

"Y’all, I held that woman, and when it was time for the hug to be over, I held some more. And I took a deep breath because I wanted her to feel what it feels like to be fully forgiven, appreciated, and loved," DaCosta said.
