Christina Aguilera Breaks Her Silence on Teen Rival Britney Spears Shady Conservatorship

Sharing her thoughts on Spears's personal issues, Aguilera wrote, “These past few days I’ve been thinking about Britney and everything she is going through,” wrote the 40-year-old. “It is unacceptable that any woman or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish.”

The mom of two shared a throwback photo of herself and Spears on Twitter. She continued to advocate for not only Spears’ rights but women’s rights around the world. “To be silenced, ignored, bullied, or denied support by those ‘close’ to you is the most depleting, devastating, and demeaning thing imaginable.” She verbalized her concerns calling these actions “harmful mental and emotional damage”. Aguilera reiterated, “every woman must have the right to her own body, her own reproductive system, her own privacy, her own space, her own healing, and her own happiness.”

The What A Girl Wants singer was referring to Spears's shocking allegations that she is being forced to wear an IUD despite expressing that she would like to have more children and a family with her current boyfriend Sam Asghari. Aguilera also clarified that while Spears is not locked “behind closed doors”, she is not free to make her own choices. Unfortunately, this is what is concerning her the most. She also made sure to make it clear that she stands with Spears and is only “share[ing] from my heart on what I’ve heard, read and seen in the media.”

Ultimately, Aguilera believes that Spears’s plea is too desperate to not be true. “The conviction and desperation of this plea for freedom leads me to believe that this person I once knew has been living without compassion or decency from those in control.” She also touched on her own experiences as a young woman in Hollywood forced to work under less than savory conditions. “To a woman who has worked under conditions and pressure unimaginable to most, I promise you she deserves all of the freedom possible to live her happiest life.”

X-tina ended her plea by wishing the Toxic singer all the best which, unfortunately, is all she can do at this time. “My heart goes out to Britney.
