In April, The Blast reported that the rapper shared a highly controversial opinion on the dynamics of LeBron and Savannah James' union on Instagram. The duo has been married for over a decade, but Kevin is not convinced that they are the real deal.
"I like the way them white women look at LeBron. Like, when as soon as he walks out there, they just be like, 'Oh oh oh.' They be d-cked out," the rapper said.
Kevin concluded his social media speech, noting that while the public may not appreciate his version of the truth, he has decided to stand by his convictions. He emphasized his love for the basketball legend as the reason for his comment, noting that he should not have to "go through that in the playoffs."
Kevin Gates Got An Earful From LeBron James Over His Comments

LeBron soon caught wind of Kevin's viral remarks and took to Instagram, firing a volley of posts to defend his family. The basketballer attached a clear caption alongside his post as a concise response to the musician.
In the two photos he shared, Lebron and Savannah were smiling at each other and hugging after what seems to be one of his games. The basketball player stressed that a king has nothing to do with the views of the peasantry.
He ended the post with a shoutout to his darling wife as fans slammed Kevin for even daring to speak on a family he does not know. The fans emphasized that Savannah looked nothing like the "groupies" who typically fawn over athletes.
Kevin fought back, reiterating that the truth hurts, and all he did with his advice was show the athlete how much he genuinely loved him. "Long as you being celebrated, that's all I care about. I don't care if I gotta fallout with somebody, I love to get the results," Kevin ended his statement.
