Sean "Diddy" Combs reportedly had a near-death experience following a brazen attack in his prison cell by a fellow inmate wielding a makeshift knife.
The rapper's best friend, Charlucci Finney, revealed that he "woke up with a knife to his throat," after his lawyer Mark Geragos previously said he is at risk of being sexually assaulted.
Sean "Diddy" Combs' lawyers have since called on Judge Arun Subramanian to allow him to serve his prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in Hanover Township, New Jersey.
Diddy Was 'Seconds From Death' In Prison: Rapper's Best Friend Reveals Terrifying Jail Incident

According to the Daily Mail, the "Finna Get Loose" rapper's best friend, Charlucci Finney, claims a knife-wielding inmate got close enough to hold a makeshift blade to his throat while he was sleeping and could have killed him.
"He woke up with a knife to his throat," Finney revealed. "I don't know whether he fought him off or the guards came, I just know that it happened."
However, he noted that the near-fatal incident was probably a warning rather than a real murder attempt.
"If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him," he said.
"It was probably a way to say: 'Next time you ain't gonna be so lucky.' Everything is intimidation. But with Sean, it won't work. Sean is from Harlem," Finney added.
The Music Mogul's Lawyers Raised Alarm About His Safety In Prison

Diddy has been locked behind bars for over a year after he was arrested in September 2024.
He faced a grueling criminal sex trial and was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but was freed of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
Diddy has often complained about the below-par living conditions in the Brooklyn jail where he's currently staying, with his lawyers noting that he's at risk of being sexually assaulted.
During his trial, Diddy's lawyer Brian Steel told the court that an inmate wielding a shiv was stopped by a guard while attempting to get to the Bad Boy Records founder. Steel added that the culprit was trying to gain "prestige" by harming Diddy due to his megastar status.
Diddy's Close Pal Says Prisoners Tend To Seek 'Prison Justice' Against Inmates In Jail For 'Anything Sexual'

Due to Diddy's experiences behind bars, his close pal Finney has been having sleepless nights as he fears some inmates might try to chase clout by hurting his best friend.
"Sean has kept a lot of this stuff to himself because he doesn't want to worry his family," Finney said. "But if you're in jail and you've been charged with anything sexual, it's not a good place to be."
He continued, "The prisoners take it personal. They look at it like, it could have been my mom, my auntie, my daughter. They try to get what they call prison justice."
Diddy's Best FriendĀ Blames His Predicament On Drug Use

Finney, who was present all through Diddy's trial, conceded that his friend made some mistakes but said his secret drug habit is to blame.
"All this stuff that came out, the drugs and the abuse, I wasn't privy to that. Neither were his children. Around us, Sean was a lovable caregiver, a father, brother, a best friend," Finney insisted.
He continued, "The sex trafficking didn't stick because the jury was smart enough to understand that this was not sex trafficking. This was a guy and his girlfriend freaking off. That's it. Period."
Diddy's lawyers have asked Judge Arun Subramanian to allow him to serve his remaining time in the much safer FCI Fort Dix in Hanover Township, New Jersey.
They noted in a letter to the judge that the low security facility would afford him the opportunity to attend a drug rehab program and allow him to see his family more.
Diddy Plans To Appeal His Criminal Case

The "Bad Boy For Life" rapper plans to appeal his sentence and conviction. His attorneys filed a notice of appeal on Monday and intend to submit the final document soon.
Meanwhile, TMZ claimed in a report that President Donald Trump was "vacillating on a commutation," following his pardon of disgraced politician George Santos.
However, a White House source dispelled the claims, saying, "The President, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations."
Despite this, the news outlet has insisted that their source is authentic: "The White House Communications Office is saying our story is not true. We stand by our story. Our story is accurate."
In a previous interview on Newsmax, Trump addressed the claims himself, saying he was "friendly" with Diddy and "got along with him great." However, he added that the rapper had been "very hostile" to him when he ran for office.
When asked if he intended to deny Diddy a pardon, Trump stated, "I would say so."
