Joe Jonas Finally Speaks On Cocaine Rumors After Viral Nose Video Shocks Fans

Joe Jonas is finally addressing the cocaine rumors that exploded online after a viral video showed him fidgeting with his nose on stage.

The clip sent fans into a frenzy, accusing the “Only Human” singer of using drugs in plain sight.

However, in a new interview, the 36-year-old star cleared the air once and for all and even poked fun at the wild speculation that followed the now-infamous concert footage.

Jonas has firmly denied ever using cocaine after fan-shot footage of him checking his nose during a concert went viral.

Speaking to Esquire, the singer said, “I’ve never touched cocaine in my life.” He then added with a hint of humor, “But if I did, I think I’d be a little slicker about it than doing it onstage.”

The rumors began when fans captured Jonas performing with his brothers during their JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour.

The TikTok clip showed him stepping aside, partly out of view, to deal with what appeared to be a nose issue.

He alternated between his finger and a black cloth, trying to figure out which to use.

The footage quickly spread on social media, with many users suggesting the “Cake by the Ocean” singer was using drugs.

Jonas shut down the chatter himself, commenting playfully under one post, “lol you never had a booger?”

While speaking with the magazine, Joe Jonas also opened up about how life on the road has affected his love life.

“Five shows in a row doesn’t make it easy to meet someone for coffee,” he admitted.

The actor revealed that he is currently not on any dating apps but joked that he sometimes meets people through social media.

“I guess Instagram and TikTok are apps, and I’ve met people that way,” he said.

Jonas added that he’s “extremely online,” which helped him spot the cocaine rumors quickly and respond before they spiraled further.

Away from the stage and his love life, Jonas has also been vocal about raising his daughters with ex-wife Sophie Turner.

As The Blast reported, he opened up about his co-parenting relationship with Turner during Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast live tour in Florida.

“I have a beautiful coparenting relationship that I’m really grateful for. Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true,” Jonas shared.

The “Camp Rock” star also explained that he wants his daughters, Willa and Delphine, to grow up confident and kind.

“As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them,” he said. “I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confident, and know that they can do literally anything they want.”

Jonas and Turner share a quiet approach to parenting, keeping their children out of the spotlight.

Despite their divorce, the doting dad said he’s thankful to have found peace in co-parenting, calling it “a dream come true.”

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner tied the knot in 2019 and later welcomed their two daughters in 2020 and 2022.

Unfortunately, the pair’s marriage hit the rocks the following year with Jonas filing for divorce in September 2023.

That same month, the actress sued Jonas and requested that her kids be returned to England.

In the lawsuit, Turner called for “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained,”

By October 2023, the two reached a temporary custody agreement, allowing their girls to spend equal time between England and the U.S.

Turner dropped her legal filing in January 2024 after their parenting arrangement was finalized in the U.K.

A few days later, a source told PEOPLE, “They turned things around from the initial messy custody battle. They are friendly and great co-parents now.”

Despite the ups and downs of the past few years, Jonas continues to express gratitude for his role as a father.

Speaking at an Art Basel/Miami Art Week event in December 2024, he said, “As a parent myself, I’m also reliving childhood again through my kids’ eyes, which is just the best feeling.” The star explained that he’s learning to prioritize joy and presence.”

Jonas added, “I’m really making sure that I’m able to have a lot of fun… being able to tap into what little Joe would really be into is having fun with whatever it is.”
