Miley Cyrus Told Exposing Bare Chest 'Not Necessary' In Leather Shorts

Miley Cyrus was shot down by a fan thinking that her recent topless photo was too much. In August, an Instagram fan account dedicated to the 31-year-old reposted a classy topless snap of her, but with a full-on chest exposure, the user was forced to censor the image. Miley, who shared pared-down images on social media over the summer, flashed her assets while clad in only leather shorts, gaining praise from some fans, but winding up criticized by others. The "Flowers" star, who has since worn only body paint to debut her ambassador status with Maison Margiela, even had one hater telling her that the chest-flash was "not necessary."

The Grammy winner, who managed to send out a vulnerable energy amid her confidence, stunned with a reminder of her taut abs and toned shoulders, going unusual in frilly, banded shorts with tons of cut-outs from strap detailing.

Letting her arms fall by her sides, Miley showed off her muscular legs and trim hips in her skimpy look, one she completed with her light hair worn down and in waves. Miley kept her makeup pale for a gothic finish, sporting ultra-light foundation under a layer of powder and blush, also rocking a barely there, nude lip. "Miley makes the world go round," one fan said.

"She’s a person who loves change, and she understands that fashion is only fashion if it changes," Miley's hairstylist told Harper's Bazaar. "A lot of celebrities are very concerned with their fixed image, but Miley is a chameleon,” Bob Recine added.

Meanwhile, Miley noted her Disney past on Hannah Montana, stating: “Obviously, [being a child star] shaped me into a very different adult than some of my peers or my friends. It is just a really different childhood to have."
