Gomez addressed Hailey's recent comments in a now-deleted Instagram post.

Earlier this week, Hailey, the wife of singer Justin Bieber, told WSJ Magazine that she "doesn't feel competitive" with people she doesn't find inspiring, calling the ongoing comparisons between her Rhode Beauty brand and Gomez's Rare Beauty "annoying."

She explained, "It's always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn't ask for that. When people want to see you a certain way and they've made up a story about you in their minds, it's not up to you to change that."

In her now-deleted response, Gomez urged fans to ease up on the scrutiny and leave Hailey alone.

She wrote that the model's words "don't affect my life" and emphasized the importance of kindness.

Gomez has also previously spoken out in support of the Rhode founder.

In March 2023, after learning she was receiving online abuse, Gomez shared a post on her Instagram Stories distancing herself from fans bullying Hailey.

"Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity," the singer wrote at the time. "This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying."

"I've always advocated for kindness," she added, "and really want this all to stop."

Meanwhile, as Gomez tied the knot with Benny Blanco last month, her ex Justin Bieber became the subject of social media trolling.

Many users shared GIFs of Justin alongside both Gomez and Hailey, while others repeatedly referenced Gomez's wedding.

One person wrote, "The love of your life got married," clearly referring to his former relationship with Gomez.

Adding to the buzz, Justin's song "I Do," released earlier this month and seemingly dedicated to Hailey, was used in several posts made by him.

One Instagram user noted, "Anybody think it's funny how the song he chose is I Do?" while another wrote, "Kinda wild to post this 'I Do' on the day his ex gets married."

Not everyone joined the criticism, though. Many fans defended Justin, reminding others of boundaries. One wrote, "This comment section needs to grow up. He's married to Hailey and has a son with her—move on."

On Friday, Gomez sparked excitement among fans with an Instagram Story hinting at a new music video.

In the post, the singer wore a black sleeveless leather tunic with a turtleneck, featuring stitched details down the front.

Her hair was styled sleek and wet with a side part, complemented by smoky eyes and bold, dark red lipstick lined in black.

The mirror selfie highlighted her blood-red manicure and an assortment of silver rings, paired with a matching bangle. Over the photo, she captioned it, "Another music video, another song."

Earlier this year, Gomez released the album "I Said I Love You First" with her now-husband, Blanco.

However, fans speculate that she might be filming visuals for her upcoming track, "In the Dark," which is part of the "Nobody Wants This" season 2 soundtrack.

The popular Netflix series stars Adam Brody and Kristen Bell as two older individuals navigating love while confronting cultural and personality differences.
