Like the venue claimed, The Daily Mail confirmed that Urban's performance in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday has not been cancelled. However, it remains to be seen if skipping Thursday's concert to rest will facilitate the singer's swift recovery before the show.

Laryngitis, according to the Mayo Clinic, occurs when the voice box (larynx) becomes inflamed due to overuse, irritation, or infection from a virus. Symptoms may include hoarseness, short-term voice loss, sore throat, trouble swallowing, and fever.

Laryngitis is the least of Urban's problems following the end of his 19-year marriage to Kidman. Weeks before his cancelled concert, The Blast shared that an insider claimed Urban would keep a low profile until the buzz surrounding his divorce ended.

"Things are just too awkward right now, and Keith just doesn't have the confidence to face all the press," the insider explained. They noted that Urban was "embarrassed" to attend red-carpet events and would stay under the radar until the paparazzi's interest in him waned.

"He knows he's being painted as the bad guy, and he doesn't want that to be the focus of 'The Road' – he owes that to the contestants and crew," the insider added, referencing Urban's new TV show. Another reason the singer has been a major scoop for shutterbugs is due to his alleged relationship with his guitarist.

Urban sparked relationship rumors with his touring guitarist, Maggie Baugh, after they shared a flirty moment on stage. The singer seemingly proved he was over his estranged wife by altering the lyrics to the song he wrote for her.

Instead of singing "when they're tryna get to you, baby I'll be the fighter," Urban said, "when they're tryna get to you, Maggie I'll be your guitar player." The young guitarist further fueled the romance speculations by sharing a clip of the moment on her Instagram page.

Sources also claimed that it was no secret that Urban had a new woman. One source alleged that his romance with the mystery woman was "all over Nashville," while another noted that Kidman "doesn't dispute that, but she's still shocked."

Urban reportedly fired his entire band in January, despite having performed with the group for over twenty years. Additionally, his decision to end his marriage to Kidman felt strange to his inner circle, given their years-long bond.

The singer allegedly chose to separate from Kidman against her wishes, despite her desperate attempts to save their marriage. Urban went so far as to move out of their family home and get a new place in Nashville.

Kidman sat down for an interview published days earlier, opening up about pain, loss, and overcoming life's challenges. According to The Blast, she noted that the best thing about aging was utilizing the knowledge she had accumulated to navigate tough times.

"There's something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through," Kidman said. Although she did not directly reference her divorce from Urban, her words subtly hinted at the split.

Kidman claimed that it was difficult to endure painful times because numbing one's feelings wasn't easy. However, she believed time was the best healer and chose to move on "gently and slowly," even when the pain felt "insurmountable at times."
