Britney Spears Hit With Another Scathing Claim Involving Drugs In Ex's Memoir

Days away from the October 21 release of Kevin Federline's debut memoir, snippets from the book continue to level shocking allegations against his ex-wife, Britney Spears.

The media personality rose to fame for his romance with the pop icon during his career as a dancer. His fame skyrocketed as Spears' second husband; however, their marriage ended contentiously with a nasty custody battle.

Now, Kevin Federline has penned a candid recollection of his tumultuous union with Britney Spears in his first-ever memoir, "You Thought You Knew." The book featured scathing claims against his ex, including illicit drug use and why their sons feared her.

According to snippets from his memoir, Federline noted that there were several red flags in his marriage to Spears, all of which pointed to her erratic behavior. He recalled an alleged incident when his then-wife attended a party celebrating the release of his debut album at Paramount Studios on Halloween.

Federline claimed she attended the event with her brother, father, and an unnamed actress. He alleged he caught Spears doing cocaine with the actress in his dressing room, an action that shocked him because she was still breastfeeding.

He recalled confronting her and begging her not to breastfeed their kids, only to get hit in the face with her drink. Variety reported that Federline took action by calling Spears' mom, whom he implored to stop his then-wife from breastfeeding. He also asked his attorney, Mark Kaplan, to stop Spears from breastfeeding with a legal letter.

During their marriage, Federline and Spears welcomed two sons: Sean Preston and Jayden James. A snippet from the father's memoir claimed the boys were often frightened by their mother's erratic behavior.

Federline alleged that his sons were startled awake on several nights to find Spears watching them sleep from the doorway with a knife in her hand. Another alleged incident saw the boys suffering from burns after their mom bleached their hair down to the scalp.

The scathing allegations continued with Federline claiming his son Preston once told him the "Womanizer" hitmaker wished they were all dead. He also accused Spears of feeding Jayden shellfish, despite knowing he was allergic, and forcing Preston to bathe with her, even when he was around 10 or 11 years old.

Following Federline's promotions and publicized snippets of his upcoming memoir, The Blast shared that Spears was unimpressed by his allegations. She slammed the book as a desperate attempt to earn money, with her rep accusing him of profiting off her.

"Sadly, it comes after child support has ended with Kevin," the rep noted about the timing of Federline's book. They stressed that Spears was more concerned about her sons than the book, explaining that she feared the impact of their father's decision on their lives.

Federline and Spears began dating after meeting at a club. They tied the knot in 2004 and seemed to be the perfect couple in public until the singer ended their marriage in 2006. Their divorce was finalized in 2007, and they were given joint physical custody of their two sons.

Spears finally addressed the allegations leveled against her by her second ex-husband on Thursday, October 16. She penned a lengthy message on X, addressing her complicated relationship with her sons and why Federline's memoir was far from the truth.

"The constant gaslighting from my ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys," Spears began. She noted that it was challenging to have a bond with teenage boys; however, she always begged them to be a part of her life.

The heartbroken mother confessed that in the last five years, she had seen one of her sons for just 45 minutes, while the other graced her with only four visits. Since her children have allegedly refused to accept her love, Spears declared that she would no longer beg for their affection.

The memoir wasn't the only drama brewing in Spears' life, as her ex-husbands were not on friendly terms. Federline and Sam Asghari, the entertainer's third ex-husband, butted heads when the latter criticized the former's lifestyle.

Asghari labeled Federline "a professional father," a comment that required two responses from the hurt party. He noted that he had a hard time respecting a man like Asghari and slammed him again in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Federline took aim at Asghari's age, arguing that he was too young to understand the nature of his relationship with Spears. He also slammed the model for getting romantically involved with the musician amid her conservatorship battle, wondering "what kind of man" does that.
