Keith Urban is reportedly keeping a low profile until all the chatter about his split from Nicole Kidman dies down.
Reports claim that the estranged couple's breakup was due to their busy careers, with some rumors claiming the country music star is already seeing someone new.
However, an insider has shared that Keith Urban is now "in hiding" as he tries to move past the "embarrassment" from his split with Nicole Kidman.
Why Keith Urban Is 'In Hiding' Amid His Split From Nicole Kidman
Urban is reportedly retreating from the public eye as he tries to shake off the "embarrassment" from his divorce from Kidman.
The former couple were in a 19-year marriage until September 30, when the Oscar winner filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences," after fighting to save the relationship.
Since then, details of their custody arrangements and earnings have been made public. Also, rumors of Urban's alleged relationship with his 25-year-old guitarist have raised eyebrows.
It appears it has been too much to deal with for Urban, with a source telling Woman's Day that he wants to lay low till everything blows over.
"Things are just too awkward right now, and Keith just doesn't have the confidence to face all the press," the insider told the news outlet. "He's got paps hunting him down, and he's no longer taking direct calls."
"Part of him is embarrassed to show his face on a red carpet until things settle down with his divorce," they continued.
The Country Music Star Is Trying To Focus On His Music And Show
Urban is currently on his "High and Alive Tour" and is set to perform today in Greenville, SC, before taking on Nashville, TN, tomorrow.
He was scheduled to appear at the red carpet premiere of a new TV show he's involved with, "The Road," but skipped the premiere event at Blake Shelton's Ole Red Bar in Nashville on October 15.
"He's annoyed to have missed this, but part of him is embarrassed to show his face on a red carpet until things settle down with his divorce," the source told Woman's Day. "The last thing he needs is to overshadow his new show with all his personal issues."
Urban is said to be particularly sensitive to how his divorce has played out in the media and doesn't want it to overshadow his new show.
"He knows he's being painted as the bad guy, and he doesn't want that to be the focus of The Road – he owes that to the contestants and crew," they added.
Keith Urban Has Reportedly Moved On With Another Woman
Shortly after news of their split became public, rumors circulated that Urban had moved on and was "with another woman," according to TMZ.
One source told the publication that Urban's new relationship "is all over Nashville," while another source close to the "Big Little Lies" actress said that "all the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman."
"Let's just say, Nicole doesn't dispute that, but she's still shocked over it," they added, about Urban's alleged new romance.
The Country Singer Was Rumored To Be Dating His Guitarist
After his split from Kidman, Urban further raised eyebrows when a resurfaced clip showed him and his touring guitarist, Maggie Baugh, sharing a flirty moment on stage in which he altered the lyrics of the song he had written for his estranged wife.
Urban usually sings "When they're tryna get to you, baby I'll be the fighter," but in an Instagram video which Baugh uploaded herself, the country star sang, "When they're tryna get to you, Maggie I'll be your guitar player."
Amid the romance rumors, it's been revealed that there are "no plans" for Baugh to continue touring with Urban.
According to TMZ, an insider told the news outlet that the decision not to bring her along has nothing to do with the talks about their rumored romance, but rather "it's simply logistics."
Nicole Kidman Has Been Out And About Since Filing For Divorce
It has been a different story for Kidman, who has been spotted at several events since she filed for divorce.
A day after signing the legal document, she went hiking with her sister, Antonia Kidman, in Nashville, per E! News. She then attended the amfAR Dallas fundraising gala in Texas on October 4, where she presented Taylor Sheridan with the Award of Inspiration.
Two days later, the "Moulin Rouge!" star turned up in style at Chanel's Paris fashion week show and came along with her daughters, Sunday Rose, and Faith Margaret.
Kidman also recently showed Urban what he is missing when she slipped into a stunning black dress with a slit up one leg to promote skincare brand Clé de Peau Beaute. The actress accessorized with a gold, diamond-encrusted snake necklace and wore a matching bracelet.
