Kevin Costner has reportedly embarked on a deep-sea treasure hunt following the publication of a bombshell exposé about him by The Hollywood Reporter.
The article made several claims about the Oscar-winning movie star, who is now said to be "angry" and "furious," especially after being described as an "impossible" person.
As for his new adventure, Kevin Costner discovered "gold and emeralds in the Caribbean" and is now seeking backing for a proposed TV series that will document his search for lost treasures.
Kevin Costner Is Shopping A TV Series On Finding Treasure Around The World

According to Page Six, Costner is currently "on a deep-sea diving binge to discover sunken treasure."
The news outlet obtained the information from a close source who also revealed that the actor "found gold coins and emeralds recently in the Caribbean."
The source also noted that Costner hopes to profit from his discovery by showcasing such expeditions to the world.
"Now he's shopping a TV series on finding sunken treasure around the world," said the insider.
Although "no one has signed on to finance it," it is unclear which industry giants Costner approached to back the project.
The Actor Has A History Of Exploring

Meanwhile, it seems Costner's passion for treasure hunting isn't a recent interest. According to an online post, he once revealed that he and underwater archaeologist Alex Mirabal planned to launch an exploration business together.
Earlier this year, the two offered a glimpse of that shared interest when they visited the Castillo de la Real Fuerza Museum in Havana, Cuba, to tour its renowned nautical archives.
The focus of the visit was reportedly an "underwater archaeological project," although the exact details were not disclosed.
They also met with the president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, during the week-long trip.
"He [Costner] stressed that he had been impressed with the Museum of the Castle of the Royal Force, not only for the pieces it treasures, but also for its architecture," read a statement from the Cuban Presidency. "In the pleasant dialogue, the president invited him to visit Santiago de Cuba, whose bay holds a great underwater heritage."
Kevin Costner Was Left 'Furious' Over An Exposé about Him

Earlier in the week, a source told Page Six that Costner was left "furious" over a piece that The Hollywood Reporter had written about him.
"He's said to be furious over the new Hollywood Reporter story about how he's lost the plot… He's very angry about it," the source claimed.
One of the key allegations raised in the piece was about Costner getting into an altercation with his co-star, Wes Bentley, while filming in Utah for "Yellowstone."
The outlet claimed that Costner, who serves as an executive producer on the show, wanted Bentley to ignore Taylor Sheridan's script and perform the scene his way.
However, Bentley reportedly refused and fired back with a dig, stating that he had agreed to star in a Taylor Sheridan project, not a Kevin Costner production.
"Kevin didn't like that, and he lunged at him," said an insider who was at the film set. "No fists were thrown, but they were in each other's faces, pushing and shoving and just getting hot until they had to be separated."
The Oscar Winner Has Reportedly Made Many Enemies In Hollywood

Elsewhere in the THR exposé, it was reported that the actor has fractured his relationships with many industry colleagues due to his behavior.
One reason cited was his alleged failure to pay bills on time, which referenced a since-settled lawsuit that accused him of owing hundreds of thousands in unpaid costume fees.
Costner was also described as being strong-headed and known to ignore advice from veteran directors, including Steven Spielberg.
His alleged habit of rewriting scripts without notice and overruling directors was also mentioned, along with claims that he has clashed with several co-stars, including Clint Eastwood, Kurt Russell, and, recently, Wes Bentley.
"It's sad, and that's the only thing I can think of," said a source who has had a long-term working relationship with Costner. "I think he got lost in the ether, and to this day, I just don't get it."
Now, according to the news outlet, "There's a long list of people in Hollywood who swear they'll never work with Costner again."
Kevin Costner Is Facing Obstacles With His 'Horizon' Project

Amid the negative spotlight the article claims has befallen Costner in Hollywood, the actor's "Horizon" project has also failed to help matters.
So far, only one of the proposed four-part films has been released in theaters, and it has been met with negative reviews and underperformed at the box office.
Chapter Two currently has no set release date, and Chapters Three and Four have yet to secure funding.
