Kim Kardashian Attempts To Play Down The 'Kardashian Curse'

Kim Kardashian is tired of the negative reputation associated with her family name.

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" alum urged everyone to ditch the narrative that the men who seek romantic relationships with her and her sisters always end up at rock bottom.

Kim Kardashian is not the only one who has earned the 'Kardashian curse' tag; her sisters' exes, Lamar Odom and Scott Disick, have also been alleged to have been plagued by the curse.

The billionaire trashed the demeaning reports about a magical power that sabotages her ex's lives after a split, describing them as a discourse rooted in falsehood. In her words:

"I think it's really unfair to say that women are the problem when it comes to issues that our exes might be dealing with and that they had those issues before."

She then redirected the conversation's course, focusing on the progress the men in their lives had made, starting with the family matriarch, Kris Jenner, who had married gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner.

Kardashian also referred to Odom clinching the NBA championships with the Lakers during his marriage to Khloé Kardashian. The actress added on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast that one of her exes also won the Super Bowl during their relationship:

"I was dating a football player and he won the Super Bowl—there were really positive, amazing things that happened."

Kardashian was in a very public relationship with football player Reggie Bush when he won the Nick Lombardi cup with the New Orleans Saints in 2010.

Kardashian did not deny that it was fireworks when her relationship with Kanye "Ye" West initially began. The duo, who had been friends for nearly a decade before getting together, tied the knot in 2014, a year after they welcomed North West.

Kardashian revealed that she was attracted to Ye due to his intelligence and how much of a good time they had together. Unfortunately, things took a sad turn when Ye's mental health issues overshadowed their marriage.

She recalled trying her hardest to be there for him and offer him help, but all her efforts were frustrated as Ye rejected virtually every solution offered. Kardashian added that sharing four children in the marriage also made it very hard for her to just get up and walk away.

Ultimately, she had to make a decision to help herself become a better person and be a much better mom for their babies. She expressed that they will probably understand her decision when they get older.

"I didn't like the talkingbad about my kids' grandmother, aunts—if someone feels that way, then we shouldn't be together. You know, airing out a lot of stuff, a lot of personal stuff," Kardashian added.

In 2023, the "Kardashian Curse" bit resurfaced after the business owner flew her son out to Paris alongside his friends to catch a glimpse of his favorite football team. As noted by The Blast, Saint's favorite team at the time, Paris Saint-Germain, played against Rennes in a 2-0 game.

Kardashian and her son created many memories during their visit, including a special meeting with Kylian Mbappe, a FaceTime session with Neymar, and exchanging pleasant waves with Lionel Messi by the pitch.

The aftermath of the match resulted in backlash from the fans, who blamed Kardashian for PSG's loss, causing their first defeat in a record 715-day winning streak that spanned 35 consecutive matches.

A similar scenario occurred during Arsenal's Europa League match against Sporting Lisbon, which ended in a 1-1 draw. While Kardashian and her crew enjoyed the game, the reaction on social media differed, as football enthusiasts blamed the "Kardashian curse" for the match's outcome, which did not go in Arsenal's favor.

Khloé also got a fair share of the allegation when she pulled up at Tristan Thompson's game against the Boston Celtics. The star was there to support her baby daddy alongside their two kids, True and Tatum Thompson, as the Cleveland Cavaliers wrestled with the Boston team for the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference last year.

Odom seemingly experienced a fall from glory following his divorce from Khloé after revelations of a series of infidelity and addiction on his part. Over the years, spectators have cited the Kardashian Curse as a reason for Odom's misfortune.

The former NBA athlete has since come out to trash these claims, insisting that he played a primary role in his own downfall and that Khloé, alongside her family, actually saved his life.

Ye was also accused of becoming a shadow of himself as soon as he tied the knot with Kardashian, and things got worse for him after they finalized their divorce in 2022.

For the third bearer of the curse and Kourtney Kardashian's ex, Scott Disick, his fall from grace began way before he parted ways with the eldest Kardashian. For years, Scott battled with drinking problems and breakdowns on the family's reality TV shows.

Following his breakup, Disick has experienced significant difficulty in moving on romantically, with only a few attempts at love under his wings. These days, he is getting fewer and fewer public sightings, while Kourtney has found a home in the arms of Travis Barker and even welcomed a son.
