Jason Kelce has made it clear he wants no part in the uproar over Bad Bunny headlining the Super Bowl LX halftime show in 2026.

When the Puerto Rican superstar was announced as the performer for football's biggest stage, fans and high-profile individuals, including President Donald Trump, reacted to it.

While some called the "Monaco" singer unfit, others praised the pick. Among the chatter was a supposed comment from Kelce supporting Bad Bunny and condemning the critics. But did Kelce really make such remarks?

The former Philadelphia Eagles star has now set the record straight that a quote attributed to him earlier this week, which appeared to praise Bad Bunny, was not written by him.

"I normally don't comment on things like this, but I feel l need to address that there are a number of accounts posting fake quotes and attributing them to me on this platform right now," Kelce wrote on his X account.

He continued, thanking the app for adding a community note, and emphasized that he wouldn't respond to other accounts spreading false information, as doing so would give them more attention.

The athlete concluded his statement, emphasizing that any remarks not made directly by him through his leading platforms are false.

Per U.S. Magazine, the quote from the fake account, which had spread, read, "If Bad Bunny is a bad fit for the Super Bowl, then maybe the people making these comments are a bad fit for America's future."

The post had already racked up over 1.4 million views and 53,000 likes before being flagged. X added a community note to it, a feature designed to prevent misinformation on the platform.

"Jason Kelce never said this," the note clarified. "A random X user posted this unverified quote, which does not appear in any recording or statement from Jason."

Kelce's clarification about his fake quote comes amid widespread reactions to Bad Bunny's upcoming gig, including a recent response from Trump.

As The Blast reported, during an appearance on "Newsmax's Greg Kelly Reports," Trump was asked about the NFL's choice of Bad Bunny, with host Greg Kelly noting that the artist dislikes him and opposes ICE.

Trump replied he had no idea who the artist was. "I've never heard of him... I don't know who he is," he admitted. He then went on to criticize the NFL's decision, calling it "absolutely ridiculous."

Bad Bunny, for his part, has been open about his opposition to Trump and his administration, even avoiding touring the U.S. in the past. He cited concerns that Trump's immigration policies could affect his concertgoers.

However, it seems the singer's fears about ICE targeting his fans might come true, as ICE agents will be stationed at football's biggest night in 2026. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that officers will be deployed to the event to enforce law and order.

She explained that the agency's role is to ensure that everyone attending the occasion can enjoy it and leave safely, stressing that that is what "America is about."

Noem added, "I think people should not be coming to the Super Bowl unless they're law-abiding Americans who love this country."

Following Trump's criticism of Bad Bunny's upcoming halftime performance, Charlie Kirk's organization, Turning Point USA (TPUSA), also voiced its displeasure by organizing a competing event.

As The Blast reported, TPUSA announced "The All American Halftime Show," is scheduled to take place simultaneously with the Super Bowl.

The nonprofit's website encouraged fans to vote for their preferred songs, with options including the directive, "Anything In English," seemingly mocking Bad Bunny's Spanish-language music.

Amid the uproar ahead of the Super Bowl, the "I Like It" singer's latest actions have fueled the controversy rather than calming it.

A few days ago, The Blast reported that Bad Bunny was spotted not standing for "God Bless America" during a Yankees vs. Blue Jays game.

While several fans stood and placed their hands over their hearts during the seventh-inning rendition, Bad Bunny remained seated with friends three rows behind home plate.

Many MAGA supporters reacted strongly, criticizing Bad Bunny and framing his actions as disrespectful and unpatriotic.
