Justin Trudeau’s Estranged Wife Shares Cryptic Post About ‘Connection’ Days After Katy Perry Yacht PDA

Justin Trudeau may have found love again in Katy Perry’s arms. However, his ex-wife is determined to let go of the love that was “not meant to be kept.”

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau shared a cryptic post on Instagram, talking about the lessons she has learned from love and encouraging her followers to freely embrace the constant changes in life. 

Justin and Sophie announced their separation in August 2023, after being married for 18 years. 

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau took to Instagram to share a heartfelt video of herself talking about love, possession, and letting go.

The former TV host began her speech by saying, “Do you find that sometimes we forget that nothing we love was ever meant to be kept?” 

She then went on to stress that people, places, and moments that once felt “infinite” are not to be clung to. However, people, including herself, often make the mistake of holding on because it feels safer.

“To hold on feels safer than to let go. But love was never about possession; it was always about presence. The present moment,” she said. “And when we release what we cannot keep, we make space for the truth of connection, intimacy, the memory."

The media personality likened the lesson to grief and explained that she lost her father in the past year and had to learn that grief comes with grace. She then concluded by positing the theory that love’s “deepest teaching” is to “stand open-hearted in the face of impermanence.” 

Sophie led her viewers in a breathing exercise, asking them to remember someone or something they’ve had to release and feel how they still live inside them as “love’s endurance.” 

Sophie’s video was released barely two days after her estranged husband, Justin, was captured sharing a steamy moment with Perry. 

The Blast reported that the former Prime Minister of Canada was spotted kissing Perry on the upper deck of the singer’s 24-metre yacht, the Caravelle. 

An eyewitness recalled the scene, noting that they recognized the singer but at first didn’t know she was with Justin. Eventually, the eyewitness spotted the politician’s “Haida raven” tattoo when he began kissing Perry, thereby confirming his identity. 

Although the duo is yet to confirm the status of their relationship, the pop star is reportedly “very interested” in the Canadian leader and “likes him a lot.” 

Justin and Perry’s heated PDA moment occurred barely a month after it was reported that the two are keeping a low-profile on their connection with each other. 

As confirmed by The Blast, an insider revealed that the love birds “decided to be much more private about it” and are “still speaking and are very much interested in each other.” 

Another insider shared that while the “California Gurls” singer is “taking it day by day,” she is still receptive to the idea of dating. 

The reports about Perry and Justin’s alleged love connection came weeks after they first sparked dating rumors when they were spotted having dinner in Montreal. 

Back in July, the duo enjoyed an intimate dinner date at Le Violon, escorted by security guards who kept close tabs on them.

They appeared to be having a very intimate time together, with the pop star often leaning across the table to engage with the politician. 

Perry and Justin seemed to have been deeply engrossed with each other during their date in Montreal, and an astrologer confirmed that the two indeed have a strong connection.

A month later, The Blast published a story on how astrologer Polina Arutiunian of Nebula analyzed the duo’s connection via their charts and zodiac signs. 

According to Arutiunian, Perry and Justin’s natal charts reveal that they have a fiery connection, with the latter exhibiting traits of “authority and structure which can give Katy a sense of stability and clarity.” 

Per their astrological charts, the lovebirds “understand crises and tend to tackle them actively.” However, their conflicts may appear “too turbulent” to outside observers.
