A week after news broke about Cindy McCain's health emergency, her daughter, Meghan McCain, is finally shedding light on the challenge and her present condition.
The U.N. World Food Program executive director suffered a mild stroke last week, forcing her to step back from her duties temporarily.
Now, her daughter, Meghan, who recently made headlines for her outspoken remarks toward young activists like Violet Affleck and Greta Thunberg, has opened up about her mother's recovery.
Meghan McCain Shared an Update on Her Mother's Health And Healing Process

The former "Outnumbered" co-host opened up about her mother's health on her "Citizen McCain" podcast.
"My mother, Cindy McCain, who you all may or may not know, she did, in fact, suffer from a mild stroke last week," the television personality candidly said in the October 14 episode.
Meghan explained that she initially chose not to speak publicly about the situation, as her family was still processing the news and trying to understand the extent of what had happened.
Cindy, living in Rome for her work with the U.N. World Food Program, has since returned to Arizona to be with her family. The TV host noted that while her mother is still in the hospital, she's expected to be discharged soon.
Describing her mother's condition, Meghan shared, "She is cognitively completely fine. Talks just normal, like, that she always has and texting." However, the author admitted that the recovery process hasn't been without challenges.
"She has some physical things that have happened as a result of the stroke," the 40-year-old revealed, adding that the doctors have described the illness as mild.
Meghan confessed that even with the medical practitioner's confirmation, it's still "scary nonetheless," before reassuring that the activist is "okay."
Why Meghan McCain Is Not At Her Mom's Side During Her Recovery

While the wife of late senator John McCain heals, Meghan is sadly not by her side, although other family members are.
The blogger explained that she hasn't been able to travel to Arizona because she's seven months pregnant and not permitted to travel far.
"I am not allowed to fly that far yet," Meghan said. "I am actually going to my doctor tomorrow to see if I can get clearance to fly."
Despite being away, the author expressed gratitude for her large family, noting that her six siblings have all stepped up to help care for the sick matriarch.
Before concluding her update, Meghan acknowledged that while Cindy's recovery hasn't been easy, she is deeply thankful that her mother remains "cognitively completely fine."
Cindy McCain Took a Temporary Leave From her Position In The U.N. Due To The Illness

The update comes a few days after the U.N.World Food Program first announced Cindy was experiencing a sudden stroke, assuring that she is expected to make a full recovery. The organization stated that its executive director will be taking about four to six weeks off to recover.
In her own statement, Cindy expressed gratitude to the medical team in Italy for their exceptional care, stating that her recovery is going well thanks to them. She added that she's looking forward to continuing her healing process back home.
As reported by People Magazine, she further expressed her trust in the organization's interim leadership team, specifically mentioning Carl Skau, who is stepping in to handle her responsibilities while she's away, per People Magazine.
Meghan McCain Slammed Violet Affleck's U.N. Speech, Calling Her Unqualified

Just weeks before her mother's health scare, Meghan criticized Violet Affleck, the 19-year-old daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, after the teen delivered a speech at a United Nations event.
As The Blast reported, Meghan called Violet's remarks about the continued wearing of masks five years after the pandemic "absurd". She said her appearance at the event was a prime example of why people dislike "nepo babies."
The former "The View" co-host argued that, while being a privileged child herself, her parents would never have allowed her to speak publicly about a complex health issue at that age without proper experience or expertise.
Meghan McCain Also Blasted Greta Thunberg

Affleck is not the only young activist who has been the target of harsh remarks from the political commentator in recent weeks.
According to The Blast, Meghan also aimed at environmental activist Greta Thunberg after Greta shared her views on genocide, fascism, and colonization.
Meghan took to her social media, telling Thunberg to stay out of politics. She mocked the activist's appearance, specifically her hairstyle, saying she couldn't take anyone seriously who had "uneven bangs" and a "sh-tty Lord Farquaad haircut."
