While she did not go far on the Fox TV show, one of the driving forces behind her enrollment was her estranged husband, who planted seeds of doubt in her head, insisting she would not make it far.
The reality show, which premiered its fourth season on the network and aired last month, had Cartwright exit after competing in three challenges.
As reported by The Blast, Cartwright cited the complexity of the challenges and how, despite being assured of her safety by the team, she still felt terrified. Essentially, Cartwright explained that she left feeling overwhelmed because the reality did not match her expectations.
The podcaster added that the drama in her personal life, combined with being separated from her son for an extended period, exacerbated her situation. Despite these hardships, Cartwright remained proud of her achievements, facing her fears and most especially walking away while the ovation was still loud.
Brittany Cartwright Insists Her Estranged Husband Has Not Turned A New Leaf

Cartwright hit the ground running with her divorce from Taylor as soon as he completed his 30-day stay in rehab. She revealed to her "The Valley" co-stars that Taylor sent her a text after receiving the filing, stating that he saw it coming.
Cartwright noted that she barely felt sorry for serving him the papers, as her earlier observations about him being the same old "reckless" Taylor still stood.
In the previous interview, Cartwright confirmed that her estranged husband kept in contact with her all through his stay in rehab, sending angry messages and calling her names.
"Like, if you're in therapy seven hours a day, and you're still finding time to call me names and cuss me out? And send me rage texts? Then you're obviously not ever gonna change," said Cartwright at the time.
She affirmed that divorcing Taylor was the best decision she had made in a long time and absolutely nothing would change her resolve.
