Recently uncovered emails have reignited scrutiny over Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Leaked correspondence from 2011 suggests the Duke of York privately offered the late sex offender support despite claiming to have ended their friendship years earlier.

Also, Prince Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a "steadfast, generous and supreme friend," contradicting her prior public denunciation.

New details have emerged about Prince Andrew's past connection with Jeffrey Epstein, shedding further light on their controversial relationship.

According to The Guardian, recently uncovered emails suggest that after the infamous photo showing Andrew with then-teenager Virginia Giuffre surfaced in 2011, the Duke of York reached out to Epstein with a message of solidarity.

"I'm just as concerned for you! Don't worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it," the disgraced royal allegedly wrote in an email dated February 28, 2011, adding, "Otherwise keep in close touch and we'll play some more soon!!!!"

The correspondence reportedly took place three months after the prince publicly claimed in a BBC interview that he had severed ties with the convicted sex offender.

Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on U.S. federal charges of sex trafficking involving minors, died in his Manhattan jail cell weeks later.

Authorities ruled his death a suicide, though it remains the subject of widespread scrutiny and speculation.

Court Documents Revive Questions Over Prince Andrew's Continued Contact With Jeffrey Epstein

In January this year, a portion of the email allegedly sent by Andrew surfaced in court documents — initially identified only as coming from a "royal family member."

The correspondence was disclosed as part of a legal case involving former Barclays Chief Executive Jes Staley, who was appealing a finding by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The watchdog had accused Staley of giving a misleading account of the nature of his relationship with convicted sex offender Epstein.

The revelation reignited questions about Andrew's timeline of contact with Epstein. In a 2019 interview with BBC's Newsnight, the Duke of York told journalist Emily Maitlis that he "ceased contact" with Epstein after learning the financier was under investigation.

"That was later in 2006, and I wasn't in touch with him again until 2010," Andrew said at the time.

He went on to claim that their 2010 meeting in New York, during which the two were photographed walking together in Central Park, was intended solely to end their friendship formally.

"I had to show leadership and I had to go and see him and I had to tell him 'that's it,'" the Duke stated.

Last month, attention shifted to Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, after leaked emails revealed she had referred to Epstein as a "steadfast, generous and supreme friend."

The disclosures, reported by the Daily Mail, prompted several charities to sever their ties with the Duchess of York.

The revelations appeared to contradict Ferguson's own words from a 2011 Evening Standard interview, in which she expressed "deep regret" over her past association with Epstein and vowed never to have contact with him again, three years after his conviction for soliciting a minor.

However, private correspondence from that same year appeared to contradict her statement.

In the alleged email, Ferguson apologized to Epstein, writing, "I know you feel hellaciously let down by me from what you were either told or read and I must humbly apologise to you and your heart for that."

The Duchess of York stated that she had been "advised" to cut ties and have nothing to do with Epstein, explaining that she was told to "not speak or email" the sex offender, noting that if she did, it would cause more problems to you, [Prince Andrew], and myself."

"I was instructed to act with the utmost speed if I would have any chance of holding on to my career as a children's book author and a children's philanthropist," Ferguson added. "As you know, I did not, absolutely not, say the 'P word' [paedophile] about you, but understand it was reported that I did."

A spokesperson for Ferguson later clarified that the controversial email had been written after Epstein allegedly threatened to sue her for defamation.

"The duchess spoke of her regret about her association with Epstein many years ago, and as they have always been, her first thoughts are with his victims," the statement said.

Speaking to The Guardian, Ferguson's representatives reaffirmed her stance, emphasizing that she had been deceived by Epstein's façade.

"Like many people, she was taken in by [Epstein's] lies," the statement read. "As soon as she was aware of the extent of the allegations against him, she not only cut off contact but condemned him publicly, to the extent that he then threatened to sue her for defamation for associating him with pedophilia."

Her team added that the now-leaked email must be understood in context, explaining that it was sent "in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats."
