Teigen opened up more about her Ozempic journey at Hello Sunshine's Shine Away event over the weekend.

The 39-year-old celebrity acknowledged that she shared her story because she was sure other people would relate to struggling with their body image.

“Since the beginning of social media, I've always wanted people to know that things weren't as fluffy and beautiful as they may seem… I knew it would really resonate and make a lot of people feel a lot better about their families, themselves, their own bodies,” she said.

Teigen revealed that her actions were a direct result of a promise she made to herself to be “completely transparent” when posting on social media. She added that “it's frustrating sometimes” when others aren’t as open about their struggles as they should be.

Now that she isn’t hiding anything about using Ozempic, the “Lip-Sync Battle” co-host hopes that her transparency will inspire her children and husband to be honest about their struggles.

“Because I would want my daughter [Luna] ... or son, if Miles wants to venture into hair plug territory or something, I would want them to know that it's not about pretending to be perfect, it's about being open and honest about what it feels to make you feel better,” she added, per People Magazine.

Teigen further said that her decisions are not about “striving for perfection” because in the end, everyone will do what makes them “feel healthy and safe,” as they should.

Teigen’s revelation comes over three weeks after she shared her experience with Ozempic during an episode of her “Self-Conscious” podcast.

The “Chrissy’s Court” co-host revealed that after she lost Jack, she began to struggle with the pregnancy weight she had put on. To worsen the situation, she also found herself in “deep depression” because she could physically see a “pregnant belly with no baby in it.”

Searching for a solution to her troubles, Teigen turned to semaglutide, which helped her lose weight and come out of the depressive state she was in.

As reported by The Blast, the TV personality noted that she drastically lost “an incredible amount of weight” as a result of the treatment, so much that she didn’t realize it at first.

Still speaking on her experience with Ozempic, Teigen shared that the treatment curbed her appetite and took away her love for food. While she got the results she desired, she didn’t like the fact that she no longer craved food.

“Not being hungry at all, for me, I f-cking hate that. I love being hungry. I love eating food. I love desiring food,” she lamented.

The mother of four revealed that she often had to force herself to eat food the first three days after she took the shot. The hunger pangs would slowly return by the fourth and fifth days, but then would go away again when she took the shot on the sixth day.

Although Teigen hated not being hungry, she acknowledged that Ozempic helped her break free from unhealthy eating patterns. However, another negative feeling soon emerged: guilt.

The author shared that she began to feel guilty because she was able to “actually afford” Ozempic, which is famously known for being pricey.

Teigen also noted that she felt shame because she wasn’t being completely honest with her fans, who were faithfully buying her cookbooks. Meanwhile, she was relying on the drug to lose weight and look healthy.

Before Teigen came clean about using Ozempic, she confessed to an unusual late-night eating habit during an appearance on “Dinner Time Live.”

The model revealed that she wakes up hungry at 1 a.m. every night “without fail.”

"I take my nighttime medications at 10 p.m., and then I wake up again at 1 a.m. I place my order, it gets to me by 2, I eat it by 2:15, and then I go back to bed. [This happens] every night without fail. I'm not kidding,” she said, per The Blast.

Sometimes, the TV personality orders food to curb the hunger pangs. Other times, she asks her husband of 19 years, John Legend, to play chef for the night.

She admitted that sometimes, she asks him to put together a ham and cheese sandwich, which he would do, before going back to bed.
